Easier to understand and bear if it was stable and has a logical order.  I have been waiting for almost 7 months and to think I was really optimistic at the start seeing that cases from the Philippines usually get approved fast!  I am floating in limbo. Oh lord seven months already and nothing? that's crazy. We are both stuck in Nebraska and it's especially unfair to see how other service centers move faster and there's nothing we can do about it. I'm so sorry, I thought I knew the feeling, but I can't even imagine what it's like with kids involved :( I was going to say there is no stability in this process whatsoever, you can't really plan anything ahead. I have to say, checking VJ /USCIS apps non stop sometimes does more harm than good, give yourself a full day to not think about it (hard I know) pamper yourself, catch a movie, get a massage, something that makes you feel better and give you the chance to enjoy it. Sending you a big hug from Mexico, we're in this together <3

➺ 02/13/17 We got our NOA1! PD: February 8th 

➺ 12/15/17 NOA2 finally! after 10 1/2 months. 

➺ 12/21/17 NVC confirmed they received our file 

➺ 01/22/18 Documents sent to Rapidvisa 

➺ 02/05/18  NVC received our package 

➺ 03/15/18 Case complete! 

➺ 06/27/18  We got our Interview date! August 28th 

➺ 08/30/18 The package arrived (waited at Juarez)

➺ 08/31/18 Entered the U.S with my husband 

➺ 02/13/19 Husband confesses he cheated, leaves

➺ 02/16/19 Husband decides to abandon the marriage

➺ 05/13/19  I am officially divorced. 

 ➺ 07/03/20  I file to remove conditions on my own     

 ➺ 08/13/21 I finally get my biometrics appointment 

➺ 02/26/22 I got my interview assigned: March 31st.

My understanding is that the Nebraska Service Center is the one that handles the bulk of the I-130 cases. Naturally, if a center handles most of those cases, then it would take longer to get through them.

 On June 26th will be my 5 month mark. I am frustrated now and feeling depressed this morning. Never knew going about things the legal and right way would be sooooooo difficult. 

 

We are all winners no matter how long this takes because we did this the correct way but my God USCIS needs to improve this is inhumane to have families torn apart for so long.

That 11 weeks wait thou.... if someone had told me the wait would be this long i'd have said it was a lie but im literally going through it.... it maybe long but eventually i'll be with my husband :)

Agreed. ..we won't be together on our 1 year wedding anniversary.   And I'm unable to travel to see him...so it's truly a hard time.  But my faith is stronger than all of this.  Eventually he will be with me always

My first anniversary with last month, my husband spent it with me so i'm grateful that he was able to be here cause i didnt want to spend it apart. this was his second visit for this year. Just a pity i'm unable to travel again until we get approved... but we have to continue to have faith an believe nothing happens before the right time an things happen for a reason

Thanks, Dilorena.  It helps knowing there are others with the same predicament as me, some have even waited for a longer time.  It is also great to see approvals here, no matter how scarce.  I do tell myself not to check my status everyday but so far, am unsuccessful.  I am praying we get approved this month.  Good luck to you too!

lol looks like they made  errors on USCIS processing times update  

Check for Potomac Service Center as of: April 30, 2017  shows processing cases of November  10, 2015 lol , I am guessing should be 2016 

 

and Nebraska feels like they just move date around 1 month on every update . which i doubt is even true lol

The average wait time is anywhere between 7-9 months. However, I won't say it's impossible to be approved sooner, there have been some cases here and there. My PD is 12/12 and I am still waiting. I called earlier today and spoke with a Tier 2 officer and was basically told I need to "Wait my turn"

 

There was another person in another thread with PD 11/18, same country but her case was sent to Potomac Center. She is already approved and scheduled for an interview next month. It just seems so unfair. Hang in there.
