Yes USCIS page is really behind. I just checked there and the last update was February 28, 2017.

The USCIS website has been updating every 2 months lately, in the last 6 months at least.

They still show August because they still have to process some August cases. That's what that means.

Now that doesn't mean they have not moved on to process cases petitioned at a later date.. But that helps people who have petitioned in August to not get desperate, to feel forgotten. To know that they are still within "normal processing" times too.

 

In fact I was just talking to someone who petitioned  in June that got approved recently. I petitioned in August and got approved just last month. So where is the logic there? That's my point.

 

My case was approved  over 2 months if not later  then the VJ timeline showed .  Honestly I don't even remember because like I said earlier, I had to stop looking at the VJ timeline.

 

I think I am providing a very useful message for the people who are still waiting.  “ Don’t go by the VJ timeline. It does not apply to all cases.”. I think I made that pretty clear in the message earlier.

Today i'm at 8 months PD 09/19/16.. 

We did financial expedite they said they sent a response we never got

We got a senator involve over two weeks no difference, he can only say a supervisor has the case as when we go an check case status it states same.

My husband called today and all they could say is a supervisor is going through the case 

its frstrating

Well jakelake we are at 6 and a half months. Where have you seen it for normal processing times? 

When u call thats what they tell based on Nebraska they claim is at August 30. 

I was transferred so Potomac is at October 1.

I agree, September is long overdue. This is frustrating for us all. I don't mean to sound like a whiner lol So you getting transferred did you no favors 😞

Of course the VJ timeline does not apply in all cases. As in almost everything, there will be exceptions.

However, I think that the VJ timeline can be used as a barometer as to when cases can be approved. While there are people who have not been approved based on the VJ timelines, there are a fair number who have been approved.

Nothing is absolute but I think that it can been used as a reasonable guideline.

It does no justice in being transferred. 

We have done everything since our transfer including expedite, calling three times a week, getting a senator involved but nothing works

last Tuesday the senator called and told my husband that a supervisor is going over our case so within a week we should hear something.

Today (Friday) my husband called USCIS the tier 2 supervisor says they are still going through my case smh

My case status shows that it is being view now.
