He even said he wasn't sure why they didn't do both interviews that very day when i did removal of conditions interview.

Hang in there; it can take 7 months for the petition to be approved. It is generally much smoother sailing after USCIS.

What did you email NVC exactly ?

Congrats! Make sure to do email processing at NVC if you are going to have the interview at Rio consulate. You can get your case completed in two weeks and literally be in and out of NVC in a month. After waiting so long at Nebraska, it is a breath of fresh air. It definitely was for us.

Study these couple of webpages carefully:

Basically at NVC you submit a couple of packets with documents, the AOS and IV packets. Generally, it can take up to 11 weeks for these packets to be reviewed when sent in the mail, and if you get a "checklist" (NVC version of an RFE) then it resets the clock and you have to wait another 11 weeks.

 

Select embassies allow these packets to be sent via email according to the instructions outlined in one of the two links I posted here. Email processing only takes 2 weeks on average, and even if you get a checklist, NVC can correct that within a couple days if you respond with the missing information.

 

Basically, you are super lucky because your embassy is one of only a handful of embassies currently allowing for email processing. I was glad someone told me about it before we sent in our documents because we got our case completed at NVC within a couple of weeks instead of 11 weeks or 22 with a checklist. It is one of NVC's best secrets but makes a HUGE difference by cutting the wait time down tremendously.

3/09/2017: Case # and invoice # received, AOS and IV fees paid.

4/06/2017: Case complete.

Not really. Some are lucky and get approved right away, but not all.  My NOA1 was received last 11/28/16.  Still no approval as of today.

Your profile says you got engaged. Engaged is not the same as married.

You have to be married inorder to file for the CR1 visa.

I don't think it's dead, maybe a little dormant :) I've seen some approvals coming through for October filers so keeping fingers crossed we will be seeing Novembers approvals soon!!!

SO!!!!! We just got surprisingly approved!!!!!!! We did not expect that but OMG so happy! Our PD was Feb 13th and approval dated May 3d. Excited to finally be with my hubby!!!!!!!!! To all Nebraska filers - do not lose ur hope and keep holding on!
