Case says READY but consulate says case is not in system, I jumped the gun and booked an interview but they say its invalid until I receive the letter so I might have to cancel it.

Appointment Letter: Flew to Juarez just to get this, its actually 2 letters you need.

Interview Day: Jan 2nd   Interview Result: APPROVED

Tracking Number Received: Via email notice and website the afternoon of Jan 4th    Visa Delivered: Friday Jan 5th Mexico City

USCIS Notice - Green Card mailed: 3/28/18

Its showing on my time line adjudication April 3 an 13. So we are waiting

Almost 5 months waiting (November filer) and they just started on September Petitions..even so many have been transfered already. The wait is ridiculous..Nebraska service center is a nightmare. I hope they will speed up soon.

I am in complete agreement with your sentiments!!! I've decided that I'm not even going to start being impatient until we hit the 6 months mark. I wanted to go back to Barcelona in the spring but we decided to wait until the interview and spend more time traveling in Europe when I go there. It's killing me!!!!!

I cannot believe they are still processing people from September! We were approved back in February. Took 199 days for them to approve us. I do not know why it takes them 2 months to process a month of petitions. It was frustrating when the timeline kept adjusting constantly out further and further, but you know you are close now. The last few weeks are the toughest because you know it could literally be any day now.

 

It gets much better after USCIS guys. Just know that waiting at Nebraska is the worst part of the process. NVC has been slower than usual, but even then people are getting their cases completed there within 10 weeks, none of this 7 months garbage. There are even select embassies that allow NVC processing through email, making your stop at NVC only last a month. In our case, even though we were waiting almost 7 months at Nebraska, we used email processing at NVC and we caught up with people who had a shorter wait at USCIS, but a longer wait at NVC. It is worth it to take this waiting time to plan ahead for what comes next so you do not have to wait any longer than the long, frustrating wait already takes.

 

Stay strong Nebraska people, I know exactly what you are going through.

I always keep telling myself that the long wait can also be a good thing to get everything done in time with no stress. Like getting all the paperwork in order for NVC..getting rid of my apartment..getting all of the required vaccinations..but even though it is a lot you can take care of..i am still faster than Nebraska..hahahaha..and then i have time to think about the loooong wait.

You are having the interview in Frankfurt? You can get through NVC stage in a month; they are one of the few embassies allowing documents to be submitted through email.
