I agree, Lucky, at first I wanted to be transferred but now I don't. It's only been 146 days or so for us. But believe you me if we get beyond normal processing I will be calling and doing what's needed to get a fire lit under them.

Hang in there

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

Hang in there Nebraska filers! They are coming up on 2 months to finish off August, which means they should be moving on very soon! Cases getting transferred should help out a little bit too. Your approvals are sooner than you think ^_^

I have a quivk question. Maybe it can take us all off the loop of thinking about the LONG WAIT!

I have not yet changed my last name to that of my husband's. Will this make any red-flags arise? Is it advised to change my name?

The reason I haven't is that I didn't want to pay for a new passport AND run the risk of it not being ready by the time I needed to get back to my sweet husband.

What say you, VJ'ers?

The first time I went through the I-130 process, USCIS ( INS at that time ) changed my name without even asking me.

Oh, yeah. That makes sense for your case.

I am the USC, so I know that won't happen for me, unfortunately.
