This is my rough calculation right now

Get approved mid Jan - February

Pay NVC fees and send documents by end of March

11 weeks processing done end of June

Get interview appt end of July

I know I am stretching  some of these but right now I am just convincing my self I won't see my wife till August or September 😓😓😓

I just called to the USCIS , and as I expected they said its under normal processing time. Really !!! It has been 274 Days. My PD is Feb,16 , 2017. This is extremely painful as others who filed the same application  with the same are already at NVC. Nebarska is way behind !!

Sorry you're struggling and still stuck with us. Unfortunately, they won't consider it pass ''normal'' processing times until they update the website which currently states they're working on January 14th cases. I'm hoping they update it soon and it already shows February this time, so we can properly file inquiries. I'm guessing the call center is taught to say so, or that ''every case is different'' blah blah,  and no longer transfer to tier 2 unless it is necessary, as they're slammed with calls. What a mess, right?

Exactly ! they are trained in a way to tell the same answer to everyone if the Processing dates are not updated. They don't even answer to the senator. My senator's office assistnat  emailed them two weeks ago, but they haven't responded them yet. such a big mess !

I understand they get a ton of calls and it is hard to handle, but then don't fall 4-5 months behind and not expect people to worry and call.

We tried with my husband's congress/senator but we got a generic response that unless we had a reason to expedite, nothing could be done. At that point, we understood we just had to keep on waiting and calling (every few weeks) hoping we hear something different, or that we are able to finally file an inquiry. We are all so tired, no one expected it t go beyond 7 months, let alone 10, or a full year. And to think a few years ago USCIS released a statement saying they were working on keeping an average of 5 months for approvals, hah.

My lawyer filed both. The 1-130 he filed first then the 1-129f was for the K3 that I learned some time ago is not used any longer. So lawyers don’t always do things correctly.

Some time ago the K3 allowed Your Spouse US entry while waiting for the 1-130 to be approved but that’s not how it works now i see...

One approval on March 2nd 2017 at Nebraska.  Does this mean they are approving March now?

Why even jump to the next month if you have people left hanging from months ago? Of course they deserve approvals and have been waiting a long time as well, it just doesn't make sense. It's hard to realize they don't go in a particular order, or some agents are just slower? who knows.

Some of the cases after mine have been sent RFE. Does it mean they skipped the cases ?  several RFE since last 3 days, no approval. Mostaly cases around 15 Feb and 16 Feb.

Small update on my case. Our i-129f got closed today after 320 (approx) days of waiting. Answer was “Case Closed, benefit recieved by other means.” At this time our i-130 has had no movement at 347 days.

Our lawyer recommended that we file both

despite the fact that we had already been married (no need for the i-129f). I can only hope that we are getting close to the i-130 being approved. I know some of you filed similarly so I hope my case gives you some hope.
