Was looking through case tracker app and found 2 more cases with PD date of Dec 13 got approved on 29th September. One was filed before mine and one after mine. Ahh it's 293 days today and still waiting!! :(

I hope this long wait will come to an end soon for me and everyone else stuck here!

I just wrote to one of my Senators, Bill Nelson. As my PD is May 26, I did not ask for assistance, but urged him to look into what is going on at the Nebraska Service Center.

Senator Nelson,

I legally married my spouse in April, and the day after he had to return to his home country. We immediately filed the I-130 and we are currently in the legal process for obtaining the CR/IR-1 VISA. I'm not writing regarding the process, but the amount of time that it is taking.

The Nebraska Service Center is still processing I-130 cases from December 2016, while the other service centers are already on April of this year. How is it fair that my spouse and I must spend an undetermined amount of time apart? How is it fair that we are unable to plan our future together due to not knowing when we can finally be together? Not only is this causing undue financial stress but undue emotional stress that no married couple should ever have to experience.

Senator Nelson, I know illegal immigration is at the forefront of this administration's agenda, but no one ever speaks of those going through the legal process. Work VISAS and Student VISAS have a time line which they must be processed. However, the process for married couples has no time line and is processed at the service center's leisure. How is this fair to any American, or to your constituents?

As much as my spouse and I cannot wait to be together, we understand there is a legal process we need to go through. We absolutely have no problem waiting our turn. However, the problem lies with the Nebraska Service Center. A process which used to take 5 to 6 months is now at 10 months. The only thing I am asking for is the same right as every other American, to be with my spouse and to be able to plan our future together. On behalf of all Americans, please find out why the Nebraska Service Center is working at a snail's pace and why workload is not being distributed equally among the various service centers.

@Vincent & Alejothank you so much for writing such an awesome letter to your Senator. Hopefully if enough of us write in it will lead to somebody somewhere doing something about it. I can only go so far with everything that I am doing. If everybody contacted one or two people imagine how much of a difference it would make. Have you thought about also emailing the Office of the Ombudsman cisombudsman.publicaffairs@hq.dhs.gov?

@Dianalorena I honestly would never know English is not your first language. I love how passionate you are about life, your spouse and all things immigration. I wish I knew how to speak Spanish especially with moving to Vegas. When I get obsessed about something I'm the kind of person that doesn't take no for an answer. Have you ever thought about the Nebraska people creeping this page out? It's sort of the TMZ for USCIS lol (is this where they are spending all their time).

It's getting pretty crazy when people are complaining from other service centers when their i130 hasn't gone through in 6 months. This used to be the old normal. I'm in disbelief a couple of Dec 12 petitions went through on Sept 29. The goal post in Nebraska isn't moving at all. I thought for sure they would be finished with all of Dec 16 petitions at the start of Oct. Someone has clearly dropped the ball. I'm just surprised more people haven't written in or freaked out about all the waiting.

Awww that's sweet! I learned it at school (high school) I've always loved English and it is such an important language to know, I grew up in a very touristy area. Also, all the shows and movies I love or most of them, are in English.

Ohhh my I never even thought about that! I am SURE some have to,  maybe they're sipping wine and just laughing at how stressed we are. Believe me, if we could rate them like any other business they would get like... one star. and they would deserve even fewer stars. Like -10485893.

I have no idea why we are not seeing more people panicking. Some are catching on from other months and I know you've actually responded to their comments. I believe it has to do with people assuming there is nothing they can do about it so they just have to take it/live with it. Or they're seeing us complain and already know things are messed up! haha

Either way, I am exhausted and I know you are as well, and I'm sure most people if not everyone, is. I have to say, having Visajourney has helped me cope with the anxiety and feel like I'm not alone, we're all going through the same thing. Like I'm part of a really sad club.

Hi All, I am a June filer and live in UAE. I have filed for my husband and are planning to visit USA next year for a visit. He already has his B1/B2. We have only received the receipt of notice from USCIS. Do you guys know if he should or can travel on a visit. My parents live there so we travel every year. We are planning a 3 week visit to USA.

Today is No News Day 300. I told my husband if we had gotten pregnant during the honeymoon I'd be giving birth by now. 🙁🙁🙁

I'm glad I have this forum. Makes it a little more bearable to know that others are in the same waiting game. 🙁
