Oh I swear I thought u meant Nebraska, well I dont think Nebraska  exists at all to process cases. Maybe the service center is just there for fun. Since all other Service centers are working how they are suppose, while Nebraska is just there on the US Territory. How did we get so lucky with Nebraska?!?!?! I guess  nightmare’s do come true 😂😂😂

Right? It's not even my jurisdiction considering there is literally a USCIS Texas,  which makes everything so much nicer <3

Nebraska feels like the purgatory of service centers. It eventually approves cases, but they make you suffer for it. Maybe one day we'll get out. We can only hope!

Congratulations. ....

As for a case number you wouldn't get that yet. You'll be notified when the case is transferred then you can either call for your case number an Inovice number or wait for the welcome letter via email as well as you can do both.

From my understanding, I have to wait for that information in the mail? Last time, my receipt number never showed up in the mail and I had to request a new one after 30 days. You're saying they do this all through e-mail now??

i-130 sent in December before fee change- around 12.22.16

1.3.17: Processing date for i-130.

9.27.17: Rec'd e-mail that i-130 approved!

10.5.17: Case sent to dept. of state for processing.

10.11.17: NVC rec'd case.

10.20.17: Rec'd case number and invoice ID number from NVC over the phone.

10.21.17: Filled out choice of address and agent.

10.24.17: AOS bill opened and paid

10.31: IV bill opened and paid (called 10.26 to ask them to process AOS bill and DS-261)

11.1: Bank processed IV Bill

11.3 DS-260 form filled out online

11.8 NVC package sent!

11.13: NVC package arrives at NVC

11.14: Scan date!

11.16: Sent expedite request to NVC

11.22: Expedite approved by consulate

11.28: Rec'd e-mail from NVC that package was sent to consulate. CEAC tracker states: in transit. Case Complete at NVC
12.11 Rec'd e-mail from consulate that package arrived, together with Pkt 3 instructions.
1.10 Interview apt letter rec'd via e-mail! (scheduled medical appointment)
1.25 Interview in the morning. Was told approved on the spot and visa should arrive in the mail within ten days! Yay!
1.26 CEAC tracker says Visa Issued!
1.30 Visa arrived!

It's finally happened! i-130 approved! I can't believe it. I'm still in shock. After (nearly) 10 long months.  I got an e-mail from USCIS, and then I checked the app to make sure. This is what it looks like on the app. I'm not really sure what I do from here? I wasn't given a case number or anything, so I guess I have to wait for the mail?

Really crossing my fingers for everyone still waiting that Nebraska will move things forward quickly. I know how UNBELIEVABLY frustrating it must be to see this if your processing date is before mine. I'm really not here to gloat. I just had to share on this forum first thing so people would get up-to-date info.

I sent my senator an e-mail yesterday about the Nebraska issue yesterday (Al Franken- MN), and I received a response today with a request to sign a release form, saying they can contact USCIS on my behalf. I really recommend others to do this too!

Hi @Marley_09

congratulations! May I please ask what did you write to the Senator? I wrote to mine in TX yesterday but no response 😳

Many Thanks

I wrote to both senators, heard back from one. It was also suggested to write to congressmen.

Basically, I did the online form to contact Senator Al Franken and explained my situation and where I was in the process. Married, two children, trying to move to the U.S. to be with my family, and that I've been waiting for i-130 approval from the Nebraska Service Center since January. Sent in my forms in December. And of course, I asked for help. They replied with a form for me to fill out, legally allowing them to contact federal offices on my behalf. It's an 'information release form'. Although I do not need them to check my i-130, I still wrote them back, thanking them and explaining the whole Nebraska situation and how we're all frustrated and to please look into it. It's the center that all Minnesota petitions go to, so maybe they'll do something about it. Crossing my fingers!!!

Yes, NVC will send you a welcome letter which will have both case and invoice number on it. As I mentioned before you can call ahead an ask for both numbers or wait until you receive email. You won't received a hard copy at this point just an email.
