Hey everyone! We just started our seems to be loooong journey on February 13th and unluckily were sent to Nebraska. Well, I guess we need to be patient and hope for some speed up in their timelines any time soon. But it is deffo nice to know that not only us are being suffering from this process. We all will be with our beloved sooner or later right;)

It may be a 5 to 7 month wait. But since they started transferring petitions these last two weeks, it may be only 5 months (: Mine was transferred to another USCIS office (don't know which yet, waiting on the letter) last Friday, petition was logged on Sept. 26th. I've been trying to get myself familiar with the NVC process in the down time.

Is your filing date past the date listed here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/times/ ? Maybe you should give the office a call.

Income Tax Help!

Greetings everyone.

I am having a very difficult time trying to file my taxes. I have selected the option, "married, filing separately" on two different programs and with the AARP tax assistants at my library, and no one has been able to help me!

The problem is that I need a ITIN or SSN for my husband, but he doesn't have one. I checked what is required to get the ITIN, and from what I and the AARP woman understood, he doesn't qualify.

Does anyone know what to do?

I filed my taxes as single head of HH due to my husband not here yet. I talked with my lawyer who stated to file this way since my husband has not arrived in the states. He does not have a social or anything to verify as my spouse. Will file married next year. Prayerful he will be here this year. This waiting game is really tough.! :(
