My wife and I have been patiently waiting for the black hole in Nebraska to look at the I-130 for her son / my stepson. Mailed it last year on December 28th. This is over the top ridiculous. Not only did the prices go up but the time to wait has doubled. He is a great kid. So frustrating. Need to vent. It took 4 visa attempts and 2-1/2 years to get my wife here only to do it again with a 12 year child. It just doesn't seem right.

It's a slap in the face that the process is more expensive while being considerably less effective now. In any other situation we would be going with a different "company" since this one sucks but alas, they know they're our only option (to legally get the US I mean, since living in our countries of origin or a different one is another option)

Hi Marley, we only started calling after our PD date was outside USCIS processing times, which are posted on this website (updated around the 15th of each month): https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do
So once they passed Jan 3rd (which is not the case, they are in December now), it might be worth trying to call. Make sure that the petitioner calls, they are not allowed to answer questions by the beneficiary.

243 days still can´t believe we are in the first step! hubby coming to see me next week for almost a month! hoping we get approved next month and celebrate together!

I won't  see mine for another six weeks. (3 months apart) But then we will see each other for a week and then hopefully a month in December/January. 

He called and they said we are "on normal processing times" I guess 8-10 months is the new normal for us...

Yes me too about the Holidays am hoping by that time we are approved and ready, I mean hoping to move by January or so no longer than that, what do you think_ possible?

Everytime that I look my timeline and the estimated time for NOA2 sets more and more far away, LOL... It started on May 10-18 2018 and now is May 28-June 8 2018, LOL!!!!

I´m taking this really really slow....Someday it will arrive!!!

Try not to even look at your timeline, it will drive you crazy. My estimated date for my NOA2 started in December, now its in February.
