"Unsealed transparent plastic bag or folder" for documents for the Interview. Can I just bring an organized 3 ring binder?

Where are you interviewing?  That can make a big difference.  In many embassies, you are separated from the CO by a glass wall, with only a slim opening at the bottom, so a three ring binder would not work.  The other issues with binders is they can set off metal detectors as you go through security.

We did an expanding folder too, with post it note tabs of what the documents were.  Chances are you will just have to take them out of the binder to pass to IO anyway.

Yes, bring the binder, there are no metal detector issues to worry about in sdq. I brought two binders and the lady interviewing us  thanked me for being organized
