Tbh, I think you should post for the renewal. It is good to have for a backup just in case the unemployment gives you another RFE or so. It is better to be safe than sorry I would say.

By the way. Do they update the schedule date online ?

No i mean if they do schedule an interview, do they put it online where you go to uscis and check the status of the case ?. because mine still says received finger prints fees.

Ohhhh sorry. Sometimes it updates sometimes you just get a notice on the mail and online never updates

I would just like to say that I am SO GRATEFUL for this forum. It has gotten me through the past 11 months since submitting the AOS docs. There is only so much family and friends can say when they don't have personal experience dealing with USCIS, the frustration, the impatience, the stress...

 

You guys have been amazing. I hope we continue to check in with each other until after RoC and beyond. Would be fun one day to all meet up IRL!

We are sending a renewal for EAD this week. Our medical expires a day after the interview!!! Im debating if we should go ahead and get a new one handy, and leaning towards getting a new one, I truly cannot afford any more insane waiting.

This sounds an interesting idea! You guys are from Minnesota, correct? We were there for the State Fair last Aug/Sept! Totally loved it!

 

keep us posted on your interview date, youre still within processing times so have faith.

I signed up for text but didnt get a text, I checked online randomly. It will say the date but not the time or the place.

Okay I think it's a good time to involve the congressman, as long as they give you a more concrete reason, besides 'just processing'.

Congresswoman's office confirmed that Louisiana office received my RFE response (thank whatever deities you believe in), and the Infopass SR response arrived and it states that the case is pending (no surprise) and that they anticipate a decision or other notice (interview?) within 45 days. I am cautiously optimistic to hear something in early March. EAD/AP renewal still hasn't come, tomorrow it's 90 days from filing.

I signed up for the notifications through the app/website and never received any text or email about scheduled interview. 

 

The only thing was a letter in the mail with the interview date, time and address. 

My interview is tomorrow and the status online still says "case received" and "fingerprint fee received" as of march 2016. The status for EAD and AP had updated properly so I know my status updates work - sometimes.  

 

I have prepared a binder with all evidences, documents and forms. Yesterday we went through some questions that are out there on VJ and other websites, and we actually had fun talking about our first dates, families, about our routine and what we think about each other. 

 

I'll come back after our interview and let you guys know about our experience. Hopefully with good news!

That was only what the SR reply said. However, at the infopass we were told to hang out for a little bit while someone tried to get us more answers. NBC said we are still undergoing background and security....which sadly is on par for where my husband is from. Most Moroccans and North Africans take the whole 12mo if not longer to fully AOS based on my research and talking to others who have been there done that. 

 

I think we will involve our congressman after we drop the EAD off in about 10 days. Then I can work with them to expedite that and get AOS on the handle, too. 

 

Our lawyer assures us this is normal normal for our case also, the background check #######.

Get a new one. I would pay the money again just to avoid the wait that any potential RFE would cause.

Anyone else check the NBC processing times for EADs? That is where renewals are sent to, right? If so.....wow. Delays.
