Yassss!!! Talk about it soon once this interview is sorted out. I am wondering myself how did daveyjoe!'s interview went - I believe that the 'worse' case would be an RFE and it's something that you can provide evidence for. Hope to hear from him soon.

meanwhile, we are bringing a new set of medical on our interview but wasnt able to ask MD if they included lab reports for gonorrheA. They gave us a copy with remarks 'negative' but I wasnt sure if lab reports should and was included inside sealed envelope. Saw another member in another forum getting RFE for missing lab reports- and accd to uscis
Website, include lab reports. Called doctor and said, they will include only if tested positive- so what is the deal.

Can anyone please clarify??

Thank you!

I haven't responded to your question, because I don't know the answer...I thought that the medical exam & test results from our K-1 visa application were acceptable for the AOS?? So, whatever was in the envelope must have been sufficient because you/your hubby (which one of you is adjusting?) was approved for the K-1. That's all we included with my husband's application (copy of the results from the K-1 medical exam) and we haven't gotten an RFE for that (knock on wood).

Does anyone else on the forum have any insights??

We're in Minneapolis as well. We filed March 8, 2016 and are still under security checks, but have been told we're on the interview waiver list. As soon as the security checks wrap up, the GC is supposed to show up in the mailbox! USCIS doesn't have any control over how long the FBI takes with the security checks; we're just part of the unlucky 1% for whom the security check is taking longer than six months.

People at the St. Paul service center are really nice. Great InfoPass experience!

WoW!!! They sure know how to charge and know they have you over a barrel! We managed to get it for $250 each (me and kiddo) and insurance paid for the blood tests and shots so it wasn't too painful! I had to call several places to get that price.

Is a further medical always necessary for AOS?  I have had all my vaccinations before my K1 medical next week.  I thought this would mean that I wouldn't require a medical for AOS - or does it simply mean that I won't need an additional appointment with a civil surgeon to get my jabs - in addition to an AOS medical?

I can't answer that one as I wasn't a K1, we AOS'd from a different visa and had no previously submit a medical. Hopefully someone else here will have the answer for you.

Thank you - I did a bit of searching after reading these posts - and I think I can bypass a medical during my AOS as long as my vaccination record is properly transcribed by the clinic in London and I submit it with my AOS application within a year of the medical - so I am glad I saw your post because it has reminded me that I need that form from the clinic next Monday!

Thank you :)

Your k1 medical is valid for a year. If your AOS gets processed before the year you fine. If it takes longer and your medical was longer than a year ago you need a new one

I'm going to be beyond pissed if this happens because the FBI can't complete their security checks in a routine fashion. We'll be at a year in 12 days...

Husband literally had no vaccine records, getting them from Morocco (they don't vaccinate near as much as we do here anyway) to the USA, translating them, etc was more of a headache than it was worth. However, there is only one civil surgeon within a 35min radius.....they scalp those prices, I swear! He had a tetanus, flu shot, and bloodwork to check for TB and  immunity to see what/if any vaccines he will be needing done. I've heard anything he needs done, he will only have to get the first dosage of it, like the MMR for example. My god, I am hoping he doesn't need anything else AKA gotta pay more. Should know Fri/next Monday.

Side note. He says his tetanus arm feels like it is going to fall off now. LOL.
