Hi all,

My PD is Feb 2, 2006. I checked the new visa bulletin and they are accepting documents for cases filed before May 1st 2005. When I suppose to get an email from NVC to stat the process?

Thank you

Priority date- Oct 12, 2004

Approval date- July 27, 2009

Date of birth- Sept 21, 1993

My aunt applied for my mom under f4 petition. My name wasn’t included in DS 260 form. We contacted NVC but they asked us to wait till the priority date become current.

According to cspa calculator I’m under cspa age till July 6, 2019. January 2019 Visa Bulletin shows priority dates for India (June 20, 2004). Any idea when will our case become current? What if I’m 21 year and few days old at the time of interview, is US Patriot act (45 days grace) applicable on my case? Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi All,

I have a question about F4 documents needed during interview. According to required documents checklist, each applicant is required to bring copy of interview email and other related documents. My question is that - Does it apply to derivative beneficiaries too ?

Suppose there is one primary applicant and three beneficiary - Do each one of the derivative beneficiary also bring copy of interview email,  copy of I-864, petitioner birth certificate etc. or only one copy is required for primary applicant?

Secondly, Are these photocopies required to be attested?

Thanks

There is no harm to bring more documents than requested. No need to get photocopies attested, of course there is only one birth certificate of petitioner.

Good luck.

Filing date has moved 12 months in last 2 months. Does it mean that demand is low and dates will move faster?

What are the thoughts on this? I am hoping it does move faster.

Anyone has info on how many f4 petitions were filed in 2006, 2007 and 2008?

I don't think the demand is low. Accelerated movement is probably due to start of new fiscal year in October.

I don't think this data is published. Only number of approved petitions by post and country of birth is published at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html

No one can really tell you what will happen next. But sequence of events suggest that IA visas will be issued soon. The status goes to ready for a while before visa is issued. But like I said, it is highly unpredictable and can go back to AP if the counselor office wants additional information from the applicant.
