My priority date March 2006

completed case 14/August

interview will be schedule in Montreal Canada

I’m not sure when I I should call to see if my interview schaduled or not .

I guess I have to look for joint sponsor before I get to my interview. Already I’m tired collecting documents and thinking too much about how can I make it to my interview with all my kids the consulate too far from where I live

I called yesterday and they said they are working on cases with a PD on or before 06-15-2006., and , this date will not change until after September 1st
Why are they asking for joint sponsor, I am the joint sponsor for my nephew, the NVC had requested the petitioner to also send in financial documents, so I don't know if they will still ask for one more joint sponsor at the Interview.

I believe other friends in this chat have experience like may2006 and Valkson and I appreciate their sharing experience it’s very helpful ( if you don’t have enough to cover the joint sponsor you have to look for other one too )

Yes, I saw those chats....Now the question is how much is ENOUGH as Valkson said theirs was $65k for a family of 4. I thought that was more than enough. My nephew is a family of 5 and we put $150k .

150 you should be ok and more than enough

At this point I can say u just never know what is enough. ..Their guidelines say one thing n when u get to interview it's another. .Therefore my advice is get 2nd joint sponsor ..If $65k for family of 4 is not enough then 150k for family of 9 might just b right ..but I think they r looking for a lot ..not just the correct amount. ..just my opinion. .

Since interview of PD up to May End is done in August, hopefully October's visa bulletin will go beyond End of June. Lets hope for good movement in the coming VB.

Hello everyone,

Anyone on here on F3 from Somalia?

My mom petitioned for my brother and his family. Their case has been complete since June 2018 and their PD is on August 3 2006.

They will schedule their interview in Egypt. I wanted to see if any one here has had or is under similar circumstances is willing to share his/her experience?

I am out of touch when it comes to the latest updates on the presidential ban.

Thanks in advance.

This was happened in September 2017 for F1 and F4, because there was a retrogression.

The consulate called affected cases to ask them wait until October, although they had interview letter for September.

Do not worry. They will issue visa to you in October, when the cut off date return for a new fiscal year.

However, In the beginning of October, you can call or email to the consulate to remind them about this, so they can issue the visa as soon as possible.
