Hi guys,

I have received welcome letter and able to login.

Question is, I can't see  d261 to fill out even I have selected option "choose an agent" , can any one help?

Is it mandatory to select agent or can proceed without it?

Thx

Congratulations !!! I don't recall filling out D261 , maybe you can start paying the fees, but do call the NVC to find out tomorrow

You are not yet allowed to access to D261. You only have access to pay fees now. When they have processed the fee then becomes accessible. They usually send an email when it's accessible.

That was my experience.

Thx, so I can pay fee by logging as applicant, petionner or any option, or does it matter which option I choose  to login to pay the fees?

You're welcome.  Choose the applicable option. Meaning if you're the applicant, select Applicant, if you're the Petitioner then select that. Be accurate.

When you've accessed the site, it will tell you what to do. Read and follow the instructions.

Thx a lot it helps , I am paying on behalf of everyone so once I pay for petitioner I select that and for applicant then select that. This is what you mean?

Not exactly,  if you are Principal, logon as the Principal and you can pay for the Petitioner as well. No need to logon more than once. You can pay for all under one logon.

DS261 is actually choosing agent/petitioner or Principle applicant for doing the further process and communication. That is called DS261. Once you choose that it will take you to pay fees for the Principle applicants. Once the fees are processed then you will get an access to do DS260 form where you have to fill up all principle applicant information as you go through pages.

The below link has all the steps. You should have got that in your email from NVC as well.

Hope this helps.

What is your PD? Did you received welcome letter in email or by mail?
