Yes. I got the police certificate from Indian embassy in NZ but was rejected in CEAC. Please let me know how your case proceeds. Also let me know if you were able to get the PCC from India. Thanks

i am also in same boat. I am in Canada and I am facing the same problem although I am able to apply for pcc for india for time I had been in india after I got my Canadian citizen hope that's work, also my cousin who is also in Canada who is also in same process called NVC and they said if you have foreign citizenship you don't need to submit pcc from india . its very confusing

Hope this will help. It is 12 months and not 6 months as mentioned by earlier post. 

 

If you are 16 years of age or older, you must submit a photocopy of a police certificate from all countries you have lived in using below criteria:

If you ...	AND you...	THEN submit a police certificate from...
Are 16 years old or older	Lived in your country of nationality for more than 6 months at any time in your life	Your country of nationality
Are 16 years old or older	Have lived in your country of current residence (if different from nationality) for more than 6 months	Your country of current residence
Have ever lived in another country for 12 months or more	Were 16 years or older at the time you lived there	The country where you used to live.
Were arrested for any reason, regardless of how long you lived in that city or country, and no matter what age you were		The city and/or country where you were arrested.

The problem is indian consulate dont issue pcc to foreign nationals. I was in india untill 26th year of my age ,but indian consulate is not issuing pcc for past stay once you get foreign citizenship. This is very frustrating situation

Comments: Police certificates are only available for Indian nationals and non-Indian nationals currently living in India. Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) nationals applying outside India.

In CEAC I selected not available and copy paste the the entire note as per my precious post in CEAC comments section. As we have surrendered Indian passport, we will not get PCC from India.

U can tell them about this rule.i also didn't submit saudi pcc as they dont issue it and they gave me case completion.

This is ridiculous!

As I went to Indiian high commission to apply for PCC for me n my husband and they took my application and told me I will get my PCC by post within one week to one month time.

 

So my question is if they don't issue PCC to foreign nationals why did they accept my application and btw to my surprise they also took our British passports and sent it off with the application.

Are you applying in India or Indian high commission overseas?
