I am opening this thread since the first one has been closed, and to hear the people like me that filed in May 2016 and are still awaiting for their Green Card.

Next Friday I have an Infopass to request why my case has been pending decision after more than a month of the interview.

Okay that's good bokins. Just keep us updated on how it goes. Mine has been awaiting interview since September last year after I filed a service request in November and I have 90day count for response.so I've my fingers crossed. ✌

Our processing has taken so long that now we get to experience the shade from VisaJourney. Joy.

Hope everyone we've built this community with over this past year is able to find this thread. For me this website is almost as densely confusing as trying to get a Tier 2 officer.

anyone has their case in Houston Field Office? My case was transferred there since Aug 15, 2016 (at least what the IO told me) and it haven't been touched since the last update on July 26, 2016 which is "Fingerprint fee received on June 1, 2016".

I am confused and frustrated 'coz it seems like my case has been buried or forgotten already. Everytime i call the USCIS customer service they give me conflicting answers.

227 days for me since i filed and still no GC or interview scheduled. :clock::cry::help:

For me I gave up calling them. Try calling them and they more you call the more conflicting answers they give. I'm around 215 days and counting.

Yes I am in Houston field office.

According to the USCIS website, Field Office processing time for Houston is January 18th 2016 as of November 30, 2016 so taking a rough estimate, the office is looking at March applications. My finger print fee has not changed neither but I'm not going to waste my time right now worrying about it...

I'm just confused why my case is at Houston Field Office when the closest field office to me is Jacksonville, FL.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but kinda stumbled on to this thread as was wondering if I was the only person who applied for AOS in May 2016 that hadn't received an interview yet. My status on USCIS website still says fingerprint fee received since July 27th 2016 and been no updates since then. It's reassuring that I'm not the only one who applied in May 2016 that is still waiting. My local field office is Los Angeles County and I'm now officially outside their processing times like many of you. I filed a Service Request online over 30 days ago which was not assigned. I've tried calling about my case for an update but can't really get anywhere so I'm just resigned to waiting. My biggest fear is getting a letter for an interview and the letter getting lost by the postal service and me missing my interview as I know they consider that as an abandonment of my application.

There seems to be no sense to the process. I know another person from same country as me who applied for same AOS, under the same conditions as me (married USC), four months after me and they got their green card last week so applications don't appear to be processed in order of receipt.

Anyway I don't have a question I just wanted to say hi and hope all remaining May 2016 filers get some good news this week!

Two IOs so far have told me that when a case is transferred to a field office other than the one closest to you, it probably means they'll make a decision without interview (because they don't need you to appear in person, it doesn't matter which office handles your paperwork). Happened to me too, my case was ultimately decided in Arizona (after it had been circulated through a few others).

Keep your spirits up. USCIS works in strange and mysterious ways. When your cases fall out of normal processing times, get your representatives involved. Seems to help.

There was a person in this thread who got her case transferred to Houston, but still had to appear for an interview in Norfolk, VA, so I don't think that's very accurate lol
