Hej everyone,

Anyone know how to get Swedish vaccination record? My husband says he got some vaccinations at the doctor, some at school, and not sure if there is a central database for this kind of thing. In the US, our pediatrician has this information, then it gets faxed around....but seeing as Sweden has so much data connected to the personnummer, shouldn't this information be stored somewhere?

I got my vaccination records from region Skånes journalarkiv where they had records of all vaccinations I have ever had at a clinic/vårdcentral. Then I contacated the kommun where I went to gymnasiet and got vaccination records of all the vaccinations I received in school (the vaccination file moves with you from school to school, so they had everything on me from when I started school until I finished gymnasiet).

Should add that it depends on how old you are as well, very old records might not exist anymore, not sure.

Same as I did but Kalmar läns landstingsarkiv for barnavårdsavdelningens journaler and my kommun for all in school :) they were all very helpful and even asked if I wanted it in English as well... it was kind of fun to see the old school pictures attached too :D

And yes it's ofc located by providing personnummer :P

Awesome that they finally did that though. Felt like vaccinations just kind of floated in limbo. I'm glad that my mother saved all the vaccination cards I was given from school so I could bring them. Must be a bit of a pain to try to locate the records when you don't have copies of them.

Quick question again! I got an invitation to send in information on a website about where to send the visa/passport once issued, but no interview date or any other information from the embassy. Is this normal?

Tou have to book your interview yourself via that webpage

Did they change it? I thought CR1/IR1 applicants were given an interview date (unlike K1).

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hi!

I'm approaching interview and before then the medical checkup. As a Swedish citizen I can choose from two clinics, one in Gothenburg and another one in Stockholm. Unfortunately I can't use the clinic in Copenhagen, which is much closer to where I live. I e-mailed the embassy to ask and got the answer that I need to use one of the two clinics available in Sweden. Makes no sense, but I choose to not bother and travel to Gothenburg or Stockholm instead. Unfortunately both the clinic in Gothenburg and in Stockholm has got some pretty poor reviews in Google. Some of them relating to administrative issues, which isn't a big deal, but I sure want to get a professional treatment and not have to worry about that.

So my question is: Does any of you have any experience to share about these two clinics? What was your experience regarding the way you were treated by the nurse and doctor at the clinic you went to for your medical?

Thanks!

They don't use Gothenburg anymore. They're no longer approved by the embassy for some reason. I went to Stockholm I had no issues and I felt that they were great. You just have to be aware that the X-ray is in a completely different location than the clinic but they are within walking distance of each other.

Thank's for you're input, but I think you're mistaken about Gothenburg.

I got an email from the NVC today which this link to a PDF file where it specifically says that Gothenburg is one of the two options. I then emailed the US embassy in the afternoon to ask them if I istead could choose to go to the clinic in Copenhagen (no), and in their reply they specified that the options are Gothenburg and Stockholm ("We have embassy assigned panel physicians in Gothenburg and Stockholm.") and after that I took a look at the webpage for the clinic in Gothenburg, where it says clearly that they do medical exams for US visas. Link here.

For me personally it's less travel to Gothenburg and a bit cheeper to go there, but I could got to Stockholm if I get the impression that that's a "better" clinic than Gothenburg.

Yes they still use Gothenburg, they are cheaper than Sthlm. I would have gone there since I lived in GBG but they were fully booked unfortunately... I wish I would have waited.

You can't call the clinic in Sthlm, you have to email them... which makes booking an appointment take time...I had a lot of problems with the communication with the Doctor and the staff at the Sthlm clinic, which resulted in them never sending my medical to the embassy. I had to call them and ask why it wasn't sent to sort it all out.... delayed me by some weeks... They also didn't give me the DS-3025 when I was there. I had to request it per email afterwards. I asked for a copy of my whole medical and they said they aren't allowed to give that (bs... and I know they do in GBG and lots of other places)..

Just my personal experience...
