Thanks. :)

I am with my spouse. Been married 20 yrs.

He had his medical in Oslo yesterday. Took almost 3 hrs between the tests and waiting in between 🤦‍♀️

They didn't ask for any letter from the Embassy showing an appointment nor did they ask for the photos as they took a picture of him during the exam. They also tested him for the Coronavirus too.

He received a cd with his xray etc. and told him he needs to bring it to the Embassy etc.

Total cost 5400 kr.

Now, just have to wait for blood test results so they can send all results off  to the Embassy.

Hoping we hear from them next week and get an appointment!

Thank you for sharing your experience this is very insightful and helpful for us all. And best of luck 😊

I am curious though how did you know when to go get your medical done if you don't have a visa interview appointment yet? The medical is only valid for a certain amount of time.

Does anyone know what happens with NOA2s that are about to expire? We haven't been able to book an appointment and the NOA2 expires June 24th. I have emailed the embassy, but got an automated response saying they are not answering any questions at this time... Will the validity be extended automatically then?

You have reached the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. Please read the following information carefully.

[ ... ]

Please only e-mail stkivinfo@state.gov if you have received an e-mail from the U.S. Embassy, already had an interview at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm or require assistance with a lost green card. We reply to e-mails in the order they are received.

I got this automatic reply when I extended my NOA2 again a month ago. We got a reply surprisingly fast (2 days) after sending in an updated proofs of relationship chat pictures pdf from the last 3 months.

Yes, actually they did reply to me after I had posted here. Seems like the "no questions at this time" doesn't apply to K1 😊

The Embassy said to go ahead with the medical first and to print the email from them stating so and show it to the doctors office when asked...which they didn't. As we got expedited, our case has been moving along fairly quickly now and pretty sure my husband's visa interview will happen very soon 🤞 due to our situation and reasons for the expedite.

Husband got approved today!  💑🥳🍾

He showed up almost an hour before thinking there would be a line. Boy was he wrong. He was the only 1 there lol.

So the guard's told to go sit in the shade for awhile and they will call him over when he can go in.

He handed over the papers to the first lady who looked through them and said he was missing his Norwegian birth certificate. He was told (by the Embassy) to get it translated or to get 1 in multiple languages (which heh did). She said ok well you will have to talk to the interviewer about that. Then he waited 15 mins til the guy (Patrick) greeted him and asked a few questions... How long we were married (20 yrs) and they joked about being easy to remember the anniversary year etc and then he asked about our plans and when we were moving (beginning of Aug.) and then Patrick said..everything looks great...you're approved and will mail out your passport tomorrow!

Embassy staff were friendly and interview lasted a whole 5 mins heh.

Thank goodness this process is over. 💑

Thank you very much. 🤗

Yes, it seemed fairly easy and fast too.

The only thing they should change is put out hand sanitizer etc out which was no one where in sight.

Thanks. We will be moving beginning of Aug. 😁🇺🇸

Good luck to you.

Hello, your welcome of course I'm so excited for you and your husband 😊 Sorry to bother you but I had thought of some questions 😅  I know you said you've been married for 20 years. Did the Embassy require much relationship evidence despite that? I read on the Stockholm embassy website if its a family based petition they want relationship evidence. My husband and I have been married 10 years so I was wondering what all evidence or how much should my husband bring with him. Also is it required to have a specific moving date in mind? Did they say? Because the DOS website says not to make plans till after interview so I'm confused. Sorry to bother you.
