I'm curious about Hep B being required anywhere because the panel physicians' guide just states the MMR, TD, flu, and confirmation of varicella for adults, does it not?

Hep B is required if you are a Child.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't required for my fiancé. The doctor didn't make it seem like something he needed to take right now before coming over to the states. The ones you mentioned are the ones that came up, either he had to take them or he was good because of prior vaccinations on record.

Correct, Hep B is only required if you're younger than 18 according to the sheet I received from the clinic in Stockholm.

I have never had any Hepatitus *insert random letter* shots in my life and never had any issues with either medical, visa or AOS. So just like Unidentified says, it's really not needed. Not in Sweden anyway.

 

Just like many others I had to boost up the Tetanus vaccine though. I did it at my local clinic a couple of months in advance to get it out of the way.

I got vaccinated for Hep A & B because my job offered it for free (worked at a hospital at the time) I highly recommend it to people travelling a lot as you can get Hep A through food.

It used to be just for traveling (it was when I was growing up), but Hep A has made its way into the US food supply and is a standard vaccine for children nowadays.

Hey all. I have a question, and I could not find the answer on here anywhere with a search. Someone had asked before, but it was never answered (years ago in the original Scandinavians thread). 

 

So my fiancé (who is Norwegian and lives in Norway) and I got the checklist from the Swedish embassy today, so went ahead and filled out his DS-160 (it did not have us pay any fees, we just printed the confirmation page at the end). After that, we went to that ustraveldocs website for Sweden, and when we were filling it out we noticed it said in several places on the application that visa documents will ONLY be mailed to addresses in Sweden. It did not even give us the option to put Norway in the address area. As far as I understand, the purpose of providing the address is so that the passport can be mailed back to you with the visa inside afterwards, so we did not want to submit it before checking on this. He sent a message to the Swedish email address thing to ask for help, but we will probably not hear back from them for a while. Does anyone know what to do about this -- just ignore it, or are we using the wrong application, etc?

I had the same message. Just ignore. When you have submittet the application you can pay the fee. When thats done, the embassy Will email you and you can order an appointment for the interview. When thats clear, they email you the confirmation of the date, and the norwegian adress will show up. Home delivery.

Hi all! I have a question, related to Sweden:
Hi yall. I got an RFE (Request for Evidence) for my I-130 petition for my CR-1 yesterday in the mail. I am a little confused what they exactly want. I gave them a call but the woman on the phone said she can't see the exact details and she recommended to browse some groups online or call my nearest Embassy... so here I am! 
My husband is Swedish and I am American. They said they received the English translation of a personbevis (I sent the 120 med all relationer/extract of the population register stamped and signed) which is the evidence I provided for us being married and living together, birth of our child, etc. They said they need a copy of the original Swedish language extract and then also an English translated copy with it. It doesn't say that it has to be a certified translator exactly, but it says someone who is competent to translate. I am wondering if sending the personbevis/extract of the population register which is signed and stamped by the tax agency/authority in English and Swedish is enough? The stamp and signature basically states it is the proper and true document, so I would think it means the English translation is correct. Has anyone had this issue? Did you just send that document? The other option would be to get the whole document translated by an authorized translator, but it would say the same exact information... and be more expensive to do. Though the letter doesn't exactly say that a certified translator is needed.

Has anyone here ever retained dual citizenship between the states and Sweden with their process? My fiancé is considering this, and I like the idea, too. I assume this would come into play at the point of naturalization...? I'm not sure. I've done some research on it but all I can really find is just that both Sweden and the states allow dual citizenship, which we already know, lol.

Yep, when he has been a LPR for 3 years and if still married to you he can apply for citizenship (naturalization). It won't affect his Swedish citizenship.

Ah - so it doesn't automatically revoke his Swedish citizenship, he'll already basically have both once he naturalizes here?
