I know...! Well, my friend has volunteered to go with me. It'll be a fun road trip and a mini holiday for us  Hopefully I'll go back to Norway with a visa

That's what I'm wondering about too. I sent an email earlier today, and I'll let you know if they answer. I might try calling tomorrow anyway and I'll ask for that! I hope not, it would be good to get that over and done with!

This is what it said in the email I got back in 2017 when I asked some questions. It doesn't say anything about NVC... 

 

"1.      Du MÅ ha intervjudato på ambassaden FØR vi kan sette deg opp til time hos oss og før du kan ta røntgen og blodprøve.
Unntaket er forlovelsesvisum/K1, som skal ha den medisinske undersøkelsen før de får intervjudato."

It varies a lot. ..but within 2-4 weeks I would think

Oh ok. We just got NOA2 so I think we're supposed to wait before we start calling them. What did you guys do?

I asked my fiance to call this coming week. ..I will let you know so you can have a somewhat timeline. ..

Question about documents: My fiancé's police certificate is the equivalent of the uttømmende politiattest, just that it is entirely in English (as he requested). Is it necessary to provide the Norwegian version too? I know the English translation is required, but what about the Norwegian version? I'm thinking not, but I don't know how pedantic to be about it!

Mine is in English too, but i have 2 car crashes on there, but that is written in norwegian.
