They could have given it to me in the visa envelope for example. They gave me back divorce decree etc, in the envelope outside of the sealed envelope, a copy of the medical would've been nice.

@Suss, didn't you get a copy of the DS-3025 outside the sealed envelope when you received your visa? I didn't even get that, seems like they do it differently for everyone.

I don't think they do that for anyone when I had the interview the swedes there was also there just got it in hand. 

 

The DS-3025 we got from the doctor not the embassy.

I think Suss&Camm got a copy of her DS-3025 in the envelope together with her passport and such.

 

But yes I agree, you should get it from the doctor in the first place, it's so important to ask for it if they don't give it to you on their own accord. Because you can never be sure if the embassy will provide you with a copy or not, the doctor on the other hand should give you one, have to give you one.

nope.. I had to ask the doc to email it later on lol

Ah okay, that explains it. I misunderstood you in another thread, I thought you got an extra envelope with a copy when you received your visa.

No - there were two envelopes, one that said medical on it and one that was bundled with it with a rubber band (my file?)... both were handed at POE

Aha, yeah I remembered something about getting two envelopes. I only received one sealed envelope so I sure hope that my medical was in it. Not sure why they do it differently for people going through the same embassy.

pop it in here  The calculator is made for the N400, but it has the same filing criteria of 90 days, so just input the expiration date on your GC

 

edit: when I input your approval date, I get December 19th for you

Yeah I have had that page bookmarked for a while and last night I finally got around to checking it and put it on my calendar. December 19 is my early date

Kungsportsläkarna in Götebotg is great! Very nice clinic and professional people working there, and Einar the doctor is awesome! He marks your vaccination worksheet "complete" without hesitation, he's very friendly and jokes around a lot. He also sends you a copy of the complete medical report instead of just the DS-3025 if you ask for it, I asked for that as I was curious to see the whole thing with all results etc. 

 

When I did my medical I paid 2800kr for everything (needed no shots) including the x-rays. When I contacted the clinic in Stockholm they wanted 3300kr for the medical alone, plus 500kr for the x-rays. In Gothenburg he sends you over to the x-ray place after the medical, so they know who you are already when you show up as Einar has already contacted them - very smooth, no wait,no fee to pay, nothing.

 

 In Stockholm you need to contact the x-ray place yourself and I think you need to go there before the medical and also pay for it.

 

Btw, this so called medical doesn't include any major check-up, it's not like surgery exactly, so there's no need to be picky really. You just go there, they take your urine, blood and blood pressure, ask you a few questions, sends you to another place to have your x-rays and you're done. It's really not a big deal which clinic you go to, they hardly even touch you, very easy and fast done.

I think I called in the end of June or beginning of July and the earliest appointment then was August 18. But that's no surprise since it was right in vacation times. But I would call early on just to be on the safe side if I were you.

Any one try to schedule a visa interview online but see a message that there are no appointments available? Guess I will have to call them first thing in the morning. 

 

(We have submitted online application and paid the fee.)

Just try and look again tomorrow. The appointments get updated and move come available.
