I had my interview on Friday and it was truly a breeze. The people at the embassy were very nice and polite and there were no issues with the visa whatsoever. Only three other people were there, whole thing took less than an hour. Very satisfied😁

I’m sorry if this is not the right topic but I wonder when you sent in your application if you got your interview now in December?

I had my interview 1st of December, and I sent I-130 in May 2019, and the NVC-part on the 26th of August 2020.

Hi! Finally I had my interview today. I received a 221g with a request to provide proof of current income for my joint sponsor. Has anyone experienced this before? Also does anyone know how quick they are at reviewing the case once the docs are uploaded? Thanks! :)

What do I do with my Swedish bank accounts when I move? I have Handelsbanken/Avanza. Do I need to terminate the accounts before I leave?

Cancel Avanza or they will cancel it for you. If you have stocks that is..They are being such pain. I am forced to sell.

This is something I haven't really considered too much before... I have Swedbank, though, and I just assumed that I would be able to keep my accounts there if I want to. But maybe I need to look into that then? 😶

I still have my Swedbank account, been living in the US for about 4 years now. The first year I used my bank-ID to do my Swedish taxes online. I don't think I can have a bank-ID without a Swedish bank account. So I'm keeping mine for now, even though I never use it anymore.

It's almost impossible to open a Swedish bank account once you've moved abroad.

Hi everyone,

Sitting here tripple checking everything before my interview this Friday (the 8th), and just wanted to ask others who recently had their interview. Im confused by the somewhat "conflicting" information regarding what to bring to the interview.. In the interview confirmation email they are just asking for my passport, one photograph, birth/marriage cert, police cert, evidence of support and ongoing relationship, and the waybill. But on the travel state gov website the checklist has a few more points such as the DS-160 confirmation page, a copy of the interview letter (email I'm assuming?) two photographs etc. Then Im also thinking that I need to bring the signed copies of the I-130 form etc.

Im obv thinking I will bring more evidence than perhaps necessary, but it would also be nice to hear what they actually have asked for to perhaps ease my mind a bit haha 😬

I didn't have to show the Ds-160 but bring all the necessary documents listed. Better be safe than sorry.

Also don't put the documents in sleeves. its so time consuming. They are gonna request the docs and its pretty quick pased. It didn't take more than 10 min for me.  They do this all day long and its like being on an assembly line. lol

When I had my K1 interview I had my documents in sleeves labeled with the kind of documents it was (Proof of Relationship, for example) and exactly what documents was in each sleeve (Screenshots of Skype conversations, Letters of intent to marry etc.).

I would say it helped me to give them the documents they asked for fast. Because instead of having to search through a bunch of documents to find the right one I knew exactly where everything was and could quickly take it out to give to them. But that's just me. I can be very organized, and especially when it's something important. 😂👓
