Just got an email from US DOS system advising that document was handed over to the courier service  and a tracking number was generated.  It stated that it may take up to 24 hours after the notice for tracking information to be available (who waits.....nobody...LOL).  I immediately plugged in the tracking number and voila!!!!

 

........READY to be collected by recipient as requested.

I just got my mom's interview appointment! Congrats! Now did you have to do the registration for address for when they mail you the passport with visa?

Here is my journey so far. Hope this timeline will help someone see that PATIENCE is a virtue. lol

 

October 7, 2017

• Got an email from NVC. (NVC WELCOME LETTER)
• It includes instructions of what to do next which is going to NVC website and following the steps to further go with the process. 
• First step was to choose the agent.

October 8, 2017

• Chose an agent (me)
• DS 261 submitted

 

October 20, 2017

• Got an Email with NVC case number and  Invoice number with instructions and list of required documents.

 

October 21, 2017

• Paid AOS FEE and IV FEE (in process)

 

October 24- 27 2017

• both fee paid 
• ds 260 completed
• collected documents

 

November 15, 2017

• Documents received by NVC

 

December 18, 2017

• NVC Needed additional document  ( NBI and not Police clearance )

 

December 29, 2017

• NVC Received the NBI 

 

January 30, 2018

• Received an email for Interview appointment on March 13, 2018

My mom had her interview at the US Consulate in Naples (Medical was yesterday in Naples at the only approved clinic).

Usual two-step process: First an Italian employee checked the documents. He asked for her marriage certificate, but she is a widower so no need for that (I even checked with the Consulate a few weeks ago and they said my dad's death certificate was enough), then fingerprints taken.

Second step (after a wait) is the actual interview with the CO (a nice and young American lady, my mom's words). After she was sworn in, interview was conducted in Italian (although my mom's English is good enough to get by). Four question asked:

1. who is Italian_in_NYC? My son

2. Is he married? Yes

3. Do they have kids? Yes, two.

4. What does he do? CPA

 

Ok, your visa is approved and you should receive it within a week.

CEAC status immediately changed to Administrative Processing, which I think it's normal before the visa is issued.

Hi Everyone,

The USCIS sent me an email just now. What is this meant?

Is this the NOA2? or just another evidence they are asking.

I really don't know what a NOA2 looks like and I haven't received the mail yet.

I will probably receive it 2 days from now.

i just want to prepare whatever the evidence they will ask from me.

CEAC status changed to issued today, on my mom's birthday, which is a nice coincidence.

Good going on your interview.  You would have done that during your online NVC process, should have directed you to your local courier link for immigration.  Did you sort it out already?

Hey there @Caramel Swirl! NVC asked me for another sponsor last January 23rd. I do not know why, but I just complied. My income and my husband's are way more than the income guidelines and I am very confused why they asked for another one. They received it February 1st and I haven't heard anything from them until now.
