To those who are curious what the next steps are after the USCIS approval, here's my NVC timeline (so far):   06/13/17 - I-130 approved 07/20/17 - got my NVC case ID and invoice # over

Hello! New but not too new here.. helped husband with his immigration years ago and now applying for his dad.

 

Our case is a little different, his dad is on visiting visa (B1/B2) and we applied while he was here.. now his visa expired but it expired AFTER we received notice back from USCIS. Anyone else in the same boat?

 

Priority date on notices were 1/31/17 and we did the biometrics already.

Finally!!! after over 4 months of my case being at Potomac and keep getting error online for case update, I checked today and viola!!!! I see the light.  I'm guessing it being sent to NVC triggered a fix....Yipee!!!

Chose my agent and paid the $120 affidavit fee.  I guess the next fee would be processing fee which I think they send later.

where are your parents applying from? i heard certain countries like China takes longer..like 8 months.

USCIS just updated their processing times, and California is on the lead... They are now processing December applications while Potomac is still processing October applications. :(
