Today I received an update on my I-129F  " Status Termination Notice Was Mailed " 

Everywhere I looked said this is bad news...but then another person about 20 pages ago said there is hope since the K3 is out of style and maybe the I-130 is being processed? Any hope?

Today I received in the mail my "Status Termination Notice". It was a NOA2 indicating that my I-130 for the K3 Visa has been approved and sent to the NVC center!!!!!  

I am overwhelmed with excitement.  Previously their usage of words like "Case Status: Decision" and of course "status termination" made things look really grim, and further compounding the issue is that literally, 7 search results have the phrase "Status Termination Notice Was Mailed".  

Anyways for future K3 filers.  My I-129F has been updated with "Status Termination Notice Was Mailed", and "Case Status: Decision". The I-130 has still not been updated on their website, but the receipt number, Case Type (I130)  were present on the NOA2 received. 

Really an exciting day !!! Thank you all!

Wow what a passive aggressive post. Did not realize there was such strict rules to this forum and that every single post had to be valuable to everyone.

 

I, as im sure many others, use this forum as a means to gather/share info but also as an outlet for dealing with the emotional immigration process.

Actually passive-aggressive is when you make indirect comments; I am making a direct comment.  If posters need an emotional outlet, they can call their friends and family or post it on their Facebook page.  This is a forum to help each other.  I recognize that prolific unhelpful posters will disagree with me; but for the rest of us that must sort throught those posts to find the substance, I am sure that I will receive some (perhaps even a majority) of support.  Best wishes to you and yours (and, seriously, that is not a passive-aggressive comment).

If thats your argument, the same could be said for you looking for help - hire a lawyer and get all the help you need. 

 

Most of us do not have someone who we can relate to having gone through this process.

responding to weather something is usefull or not and passive agressive or not is pritty useless itself.
Eitherway we al untherstand you say these things to help better this forum, in the way you believe it would be better.
But everybody gets something els out of it, it brings great relieve for people to vent there thoughts here. and when you are just looking for specific information and dont wnat to sift trough all the posts, i personally would be happy to sift for you and answer any questions you might have. you can even pm me and will give you the highlights and reer tpo specific post or information you are looking for.
and we can keep the tone of the treat warm and welcome.

Do you calculate from received dates or notice date? For my own sanity I have started to calculate from the notice recently  (101 days is much nicer than 104).

 

Keep hanging there. I know how hard it is!  At the end we will be with the one we love.

Hi SkruDe, I'm here with you. Our NOA1 was on Jan 11th as well. I check status of cases around my case number everyday. Almost all of them have been approved, except a few including our petition. It's very frustrating... But we gotta hang in there, it will be our turn soon!

I am sorry that you see it this way in your perspective. But you are speaking for yourself. I find this to be relative and I don't see the need to restrict anyone from posting what they feel. Just as how moderators aren't restricting to that sense. I rarely post in here but I always check this forum like all the time..especially before going to bed. We've received NOA2 early this month and I still come back here every day and night, excited for the updates, how many were approved, read comments and sentiments.. I haven't seen anything that strikes me as prolific or unhelpful or the opposite of good. That kinda defeats the whole purpose of having groups in the forum like this. It actually interests me how people can be so open and so raw, and I can definitely relate with the ramblings. I find strength in people giving each other hope. It's amazing how strangers talk to each other and help overcome frustrations. And knowing how people feel and that I'm not the only one gets me through dark days. I find value from that. This forum keeps my sanity and I wouldn't have it any other way. You have to understand that what you find helpful, constructive, and informative is highly subjective! You seem to look for easily digestible facts and regulations, but other members of this forum find emotional support more helpful. Both approaches are fine and have equal right to exist here. You are not a moderator so please don't try to enforce your own preference as a rule here.

I posted in the December thread sorry I forgot the January one! 

Hi everyone, I must have checked at least five times today. Then at the end of the day at 3:45pm Hawaii time I got a text message that said our case was updated but it didn't say to what status. I logged into the USCIS E-online website to see that our case was APPROVED!!! Malen and I are so happy!! After 122 days of waiting our dreams are coming true! Can I call the NVC tomorrow?? 😂 just kidding. No not really! Lol. We are so thankful for everyone's support and wish that you all get approved as soon as possible!
