I begin to wonder if they don't look for easy cases such as the ones that have used a service such as Rapidvisa as I did.  Those services ensure that the packets are signed and everything is there prior to submission to the USCIS.  It would partially explain the haphazard fashion that they seem to pick cases to approve.

We were thinking about taking a lawyer or using a service but then started gathering information and decided to do it on our own. We got approved in 85 days.

Thank you for posting up the Raw Data!

I pray and hope everyone will hear something soon !

Feels like they keep doing 20 cases ahead and 10 cases behind mine, at this rate it could be a couple more weeks

Now I am panicking... The case right before mine and right after mine was approved. Is that normal?

I think it is normal, I am in the same boat as you. 1/17 filer and on the data sheet the one in front and behind me are approved. Also so last night a lot of 1/17-1/18 were approved, praying we are all soon.

Yes. CSC's abnormal way of working, is actually 'normal'. There's no real order to things, and it appears that case numbers are pretty spread out in terms of who grabs them and when they get worked on. Frustrating, yes. But cause to worry? No.

01/18/17 - I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

01/25/17 - NOA1

05/05/17 - NOA2 (100 days from NOA1)

05/19/17 - NVC received and case number assigned

05/26/17 - Case left NVC, status 'In Transit'

05/30/17 - Medical

05/31/17 - Consulate received

07/13/17 - Interview, APPROVED!

07/21/17 - Visa in hand

07/22/17 - POE Newark, successful

08/02/17 - Married

08/23/17 - AOS filed (incl. EAD and AP)

08/31/17 - NOA1 date on AOS packet

09/21/17 - Biometrics appt

10/16/17 - Online tracker says 'Ready for Interview'

11/09/17 - EAD and AP approved

11/16/17 - EAD/AP combo card arrived

12/19/17 - Green card interview

I just got a notification from my app. Got excited only to find out "A similar case was approved". Bummer. :(

I'm just a few days behind you in terms of NOA1, though. Reaching 100 days soon. Waiting is tough, but what's tougher is seeing later cases already being approved. Like, whyyyyyyy WHYYYYYY? :P:(

That notification almost killed me a couple of times thinking my case was updated but it was just someone else.  So I turned off "Notifications for Similar Cases".  After 3-4 false excitements that turned out to be others, I couldn't take it anymore. Turn that off :P

I wish I knew the method to the madness of the USCIS.  I'm in the same boat.  When I look at the raw data on the excel sheet nearly everyone before me is approved, and a ton right after me approved.  And I'm a sitting duck right in the middle.  It's very frustrating.  Wish I could have an answer as to why instead of this torturous wondering and wondering and waiting. :(

The way the USCIS reviews cases sure does seem random, but there has to be a method.  I can't believe there isn't a method.  :(

Thank you.  Is there a way to also see the table of how many were touched on each specific January receive date?  That tables helps a lot to make sense of the excel sheet and track the movements of the USCIS.

Well I believe each employee has a quota of files to work on each day, when they're done with there own, they help other employees by just picking a few random files. That's the only explanation I've found
