I think December filers who are still waiting are being held up for a reason by USCIS and will more than likely be receiving a RFE at this point.  It doesn't make sense they would start approving February filers while December filers are still untouched.  My guess is, they have been touched, but needed further review, and will be getting an RFE. I noticed when filers receive an RFE, it usually is finally given well after the "average" review time.  So it appears it holds everything up.  If you are way past your average review time, you'll probably get an RFE

That is just my observations.

I can't edit anymore.  But wanted to add that I just did a little research and saw some December filers getting NOA2's without an RFE.  So there is still hope.  Maybe USCIS really is backed up :P  But I'm sure a lot of petitions that take longer is because they got held up for addition review or something, and then the rest RFE's.

They sure are. I wonder what the reason is... Maybe many couples used the old forms?

There's a lot of cases before it, that's why. There's also leftovers from December. I'm a Jan 19 filer and I think less than five cases of the same date have been touched so far. Just hang in there, your time will come. :D

Just a quick dumb question, sorry if this has been explained before (couldn't find it flipping back the pages). How exactly do I read this chart?

'Rec'd date' = received date ?

what do the numbers beneath the two following dates say? How many cases were submitted or received that day?

🤔

The received date is the day the USCIS received your petition.  Not the NOA1 date, but the actual receive date that shows on the USCIS website when you look up your WAC number.

The second column, in this case 4/18/17(Tuesday's results since scan took place this morning) is how many cases for that receive date are still "untouched" or marked as "Case Received".

The third column, in this case 4/17/17 (Monday's results) is how many cases for that date are still "untouched" or marked as "Case Received".

So with this info, we can see for example my receive date is January 5th.  On 4/17/17 there was 23 untouched cases.  The next day on 4/18/17 there was 18 untouched cases.  Which means, on Tuesday (yesterday) the USCIS processed and either gave an Approval, RFE, or Rejection to 5 cases that were received on January 5th.

So, we can see, every day that the scan is so kindly posted, how many cases from each January receive date have been processed and assigned a Approval, RFE, or Rejection.... AKA "Touched".

Hope that makes sense :P

The I-129F is for a Fiance Petition/Visa.

The I-130 is for a Spouse Petition/Visa.

You can't do both.  So if you are married, the Fiance petition I-129F should be terminated.

EDIT:  I crossed out response since I may be wrong on this.

The back end of January is VERY heavy.

I'm lucky I got mine in at the very begining of January, but I'm still waiting for my NOA2....

I was SO hoping for next week as my fiancé is visiting (how awesome would it be to celebrate it together!?)

The I-129F is for a Fiance Petition/Visa.

The I-130 is for a Spouse Petition/Visa.

You can't do both.  So if you are married, the Fiance petition should be terminated.

according to uscis https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens/k3-k4-visa/k-3k-4-nonimmigrant-visas
and http://www.visajourney.com/content/k3flow  for a K3 Visa (filing for a spouse), you file a i-130 and a i-129f afterwards specifying you are flying for a "K-3 spouse visa".

There is even a check box on the i-129f for this. I am just freaking out about this because I had read about it being terminated because K3 is out of style and more people are doing CR1? But I have no idea yet. :(

Ahh, that is interesting. I always related the I-129F to Fiance only.  So, I may be wrong.  In that case I have no idea why it would be terminated.

I hope :(  I need my baby girl here with me already.  I've made 5 trips to Colombia in the past 6 months and it is starting to get very expensive :(
