And the whole time I thought it means cases from November 15 were approved/denied/.. on February 28 which means 3.5 months .. I feel so stupid. Btw I'm from Germany too and at 90 days now. I hope I'll get it soon like you did

Best of luck for your soon petition approval :) It's hard to wait and wait ... I know. Whenever you have questions feel free to msg me. I'm in Georgia at the moment so it may need a bit for me to answer. Flight back to Germany will be on 29th. (Unfortunately)

Quite probably a dumb question, but is there any way to differentiate which service center the approvals/RFEs/data is from? (Texas or California)

Congratulations.

What was the date and time (including time zone) did you receive your NOA2 approval and was the notification via text or email?

All the best to you both for a speedy next steps!!!!!

I have the case tracker app and it let me know. My lawyer hasn't even informed yet.  I recommend getting that case tracker app for your phone.

Hey guys. How long should I leave it before contacting the nvc. The noa2 came through 2 weeks ago. I know the website here suggests maybe 2 weeks but anyone heard from the nvc yet for us January filers?

Thanks

When I get my NOA2, I'll be calling the NVC exactly 16 days afterwards.  Seen lots of people call at exactly two weeks and be told it has not been received yet.  But a couple days later they call again and it's ready.  So 16 days is a good bet!! :)

Thanks for the reply. Do we actually need to call them? Or should they write to us. Do we only call to get the receipt number earlier?

To both of you,

When you receive your case number from the NVC, you can track it at the department of State website for Visa applications:  https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

For K1 Visa, select "Immigrant Visa"

Enter Case Number

Enter Code

This website will track your application to the Embassy and will tell you when it is ready.  Once your status says "Ready" then that means the Embassy of your fiance's country has processed the application and you can begin filling out the online DS-160 form, paying the Visa fee, and scheduling the medical and interview.

But until it says ready, you have to wait.  In the mean time, get all the paperwork together you know you'll need.

(Someone correct me if any information I provided above is wrong, this is how I have read as how the process works.  I've yet to do it myself)

Hello everyone and thank you, I've discovered this board 3 weeks ago and been reading quietly every day since. It definitely helps me a lot with this terrible waiting process.

So, since some of you guys have been talking about using this tracking app I've been tempted to use it several times now. It would be great to instantly get a notification on my phone when my status got updated BUT I never went with it in the end because i don't feel comfortable providing all this information on my visa case to an app that is not initially made by the uscis but just some random software company that doesn't give any information on how they are handling your data or -even scarier to me- if they're passing it on to others. (?) The handling of private information by internet platforms, social media etc is a big issue these days. Any thoughts?

The case tracker I have only requested your WAC #. I don't consider this number to be personal information and I don't see how the software developer could use this tracking number for any malicious activity.
