After a frustrating day running around Shanghai trying to get a heads start on the police report (I'm from Hong Kong but has been working in Shanghai for the past 2.5 years), still to no avail (anyone has any advise on that, btw? they kept saying 'we cannot release a report for you coz you are from Hong Kong.. and kept pushing me to another station/dept..)

Tonight, to my complete surprise - I checked our K1 status mindlessly and IT WAS APPROVED!!! (our NOA 1 was Jan 19 :)

This forum has been a saving grace for me (long time lurker, first time post-er :) Best of luck to everyone! Everyday is another step closer for us!

Hey friends!

I know we're all on different walks of life, different ages, coming from different countries (if you're a beneficiary) - but I'm sure the waiting is just as hard and frustrating for all of us.

I'm a beneficiary originally from Macedonia but currently living in Belgium, and our NOA1 date is Jan 23! Now we're just refreshing the USCIS app a million times a day hoping for an approval :)

Just reaching out to wish us all luck, thank you guys for everything!

Hello! My fiance is from Bulgaria, well i am too but I am the petitioner living in the States, so we are close neighbors! :) We also sent our package on Jan 18th, they received it on the 20th and I got my notice on the 24th, so our dates are pretty much at the same time! I'll keep my fingers crossed we get approved quickly!

Hello fellow Filers

It's been very quiet in this room for the past couple of day's.

Maybe like us you are beginning to feel the pain and frustration of waiting for our NOA2.

Here we are at the end of another week and still waiting to win the lottery; or so it feels like that.

Well hopefully by the end of today this will bring many of us our NOA2 approvals allowing us to move forward to the next steps in this challenging process.

Amen.

Hey everyone :)

Noa1 received January 13th in Texas and not transferred. (Friday the 13th sooo typical)

We are expecting an RFE unfortunately, as we missed a lot of the information!

I found out a couple of weeks later  after reading various forums so we contacted ucis and we were told there was nothing we could do and had to wait for our RFE

Dont fill in important forms late at night - lesson learnt.

anywayyyy.... does anyone know how an RFE works in regards to timings? Is the wait as painful as this one? Is it faster?

would be great if anyone had any info 😊

Levi - United Kingdom

p.s I reckon I'm the only one on this thread looking forward to receiving an RFE! Hurrrrry up! Haha i can't wait to sort this out 😊

The wait for the RFE will be the same as the wait everyone is going through.  It just means that whenever they finally look at your file, instead of approving it, they will issue the RFE. It seems to add about a 2-3 week wait time until approval (as long as you send it back ASAP).  One week is spent waiting for the hard copy in the mail which details the reason for the  RFE.  When you send it back, you will jump to the front of the line in a sense and your file will be looked at soon after.

I got RFE today and I'm not even disappointed. It means someone is working on our case. I feel so positive. We all have to be.

Exactly 87 days NOA2 received, APPROVED!!! now what is the next step?

In about 2-3 weeks the National Visa Center should receive your petition.

They will assign a case number, do some more background checks, and then roughly 6 days after receiving it they will send it to the consulate of the country of your fiance.

Congratulations on your approval!

My bad. USCIS Case Active is 93 Days with a Jan 11th "received" date.

VJ Timeline NOA1 Notice Date is January 17th or 88 Days.

Either case I agree the wait is unbearable and day's seem like weeks as each day passes with no update from USCIS.
