I guess this is my group!

I FedExed my 129 on Jan 17. It was received Jan 19. I received email notification that my application was received on January 24. In that email it didn't say this was an NA01.

I just opened a hard copy of Form I-797C. It asked me if to verify the personal information on the form, which is correct. It doesn't say anything about an NA02.

What is the meaning of NA01 and NA02 and how come I didn't receive anything with those names on them?

Good luck to everyone.

Hi there!  NOA1 (Notice of Action 1) is the first notice you will receive indicating USCIS has received your documents.  You won't receive anything else, baring the dreaded RFE (request for evidence), until NOA2 (Notice of Action 2).  The official form name is I-797C.  The 2nd will be quite sometime down the road, likely months....  This will be the official adjudication of your petition (approval or denial).  If Approved it will move onto the NVC (National Visa Center) stage.

You did get the proper form, just make sure all info is 100% correct on the there.

Hope this helped and best of luck.  Now for the agonizing wait of NOA2 ;-)

12/29/16 - Mailed I129-F Petition to USCIS - Dallas Lockbox

01/03/17 - USPS Confirmed Delivery to Dallas Lockbox at 3:30am

01/11/17 - Official NOA1 Notice Date (Received on 01/17/17)

01/12/17 - USCIS Sent Electronic Notification that Petition was Received and Routed to CA Processing Center

01/13/17 - USCIS mailed NOA1 Paper Doc (per USPS stamp)

01/17/17 - Received Paper NOA1 Notification via USPS delivery

Thanks! I think I get it now. NOA1 means Notice of Action 1, right? I'm a little slow :)

I was so pleased to see that after sending our package from Berlin on Wednesday morning last week, by Friday morning it had safely reached Dallas and the USCIS lockbox! I sent it with DHL Express and was mightily impressed at the speed of service and level of detail I was able to get. It seems silly, but I tracked it religiously the entire way, and it was almost like a little part of us went on the journey from Germany to the USA. Now, we wait!

Glad to see it worked for you ... the post mail I've sent with DHL needed 3 weeks lol... 10 days of it, it stayed at the airport Frankfurt with no progress showed in tracking.

Where in Germany are you from? Berlin? I'm from Saxony :)

Haha I sent it from the Netherlands on the 9th of January and it only arrived at my fiance on the 23rd because it got held up at the customs, and then it took another week with certified mail to the Dallas lockbox.. but today it finally arrived! :D

If you ask usps (made a search request for the mail), then it's still not there lol. They keep messaging me, that they can't find my package from Dec 7 (glad I know it arrived lol)

It was one of the reasons I sent it express. I'd read that sending it with DHL Paket sees it delivered on the US side with USPS, rather than with DHL couriers all the way. I paid a bit more, but this process is already an investment so we figured it was worth the 57 EUR to get in the system ASAP.

I am actually from the UK, but I live here in Berlin because Britain was no longer somewhere I wished to be! My partner (USC) and I both live here and will move to the States when all is said and done...

Yeah, the tracking system from the certified mail gave me a bunch of meaningless updates already.. So maybe it was there already you say?

That's the actual tracking ... it's still not delivered if you believe the tracking lol. But my fiancé got  the documents on Dec 29. Still to late, so we expect a RFE to send them the original documents as the petition has only the copies included.

For my search request I got a new email today that they still can't find it ;)

So yeah great job USPS lol. Our petition was sent to Texas with FedEx overnight and was safe there the next day

Oh, okay. Thank you

I was just curious because I saw cases on this thread where a lot of people got their NOA1 within 8-9 days of the date they sent not check cashed date.
