Hey guys, I'm a March filer and I was hoping someone here could answer some of my questions regarding the updates @AkesAngel has been posting for you guys (im so sorry to hear about your cat, 19 years is very impressive age!).

Bare with me if I sound a little simple, I'm new to all of this!

On the spreadsheets, I'm seeing things like Case Rejected because I did not sign my form and Incorrect fee. Basically what I'm asking is if these case were actually rejected for these reasons? Surely that would just result in an RFE??

and also, the date listed in column C, I'm assuming that's the receive/NOA1 date? I'm seeing a few that are April dates that say they have already been approved...

I'm so sorry if I sound overly simple here but am I correct in thinking that some cases that were received in March/April have already been given an NOA2? how??

Those cases are rejected soon after being signed for In Dallas, as they must do a preliminary look over them (ie they won't process them if the fee is wrong ...and if the petition isn't signed from what I gather).  Those get sent back right away to be corrected.  Column C I think is the last time it was touched I think.....So the April dates is when the petition got approved.  In this thread, just the January filers stats are posted.

Sorry for being late yesterday and today, i know you're all waiting for the scans ...

My almost 19 yo cat passed away yesterday and there was a lot to do.

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss. Our fur babies mean so much to us. That's going to be an issue with my fiancé because she's crazy in love with her bosses cat Moon.  When push comes to shove I'm not sure I'm going to win that battle! 😹 Sending prayers and hugs. Jon & Malen & Moon

As @eastcoastgroove explained before ... Case rejected includes the reason for in the sheet, yes. The date listed is the date when the case was received or worked on again. So all cases in the sheet are defo cases received in December. Any other questions? Feel free to ask :)

Case Approved!!!!!  NOA1 - 17th Jan- NOA2 7th April :)

Congrats :) great to see that they keep going. They worked on over 200 cases for December yesterday and I'm really curious what they did for January. Scan is running atm so we will know soon, if there are more lucky Jan filers.

Yeah we have to wait for the case to be at NVC ... ours was approved Monday this week so hopefully it eill be there soon. We will start calling them by the end of next week or latest 14 days after our petition was approved to get the new case number and being able to track the case

Sorry for too many questions, but how long does it normally take from this point till getting the visa.

Depends on the country ... some are faster and others need more time. I'll see if I find the table with country specific estimated times
