Now I'm starting to become concerned because I mailed my package on 1/17 and it was received on 1/19. I'll give it two more days but after that is it anyway I can contact someone to make sure it actually arrived at the correct place?

Also the check wasn't cashed yet either.

Hi there Tasha & Carlos!  Don't worry, as it has only been a couple of days since they received your package.  It can take up to 2 weeks for them to get out notification to you (Took about 9 days for me to receive mine).  There seems to be no consistency as to when they send it ;)  My guess is you will receive it by the end of this week tho.  Fingers crossed and good luck!  Cheers.

01/17/17 - Received Paper NOA1 Notification via USPS delivery

Thank you! I received my email notice today! Now the real waiting begins. I feel much better now that I know it actually arrived.

Hi all! A visitor here, over from my usual existence on the November 2016 filers page (noticed there isn't a December page). You guys will be each other's support to lean on, which is so great! Just a small posting to say that you are in for a long wait, I believe - and digging your heels in and occupying your minds with other things (and ability to de-stress) is going to be so important. Having followed this site and the November filers' forum diligently from sending my K-1 back in November, I can say that they are still finishing processing cases received at the end of October 2016, and a very, very small number of cases from early November 2016 are being processed. Ugh! My receipt date at USCIS for my K-1 is November 14th....and of 461 cases received for k-1 that day, 10 were rejected, 1 was approved, and 450 remain unworked. I am hoping that USCIS pulls some magic, and begins working quickly - but I don't want anyone to get their hopes up too much, as the vast majority of us from November are still awaiting our NOA-2. Good luck to all!

Met in college, reconnected five years later. Started a life together in America. ❤️

Woowoot!!! Sent the I-129f on 1/10, FedEx delivered it on 1/12 and got a notice date 1/17. Trying to understand all the "lingo" and getting as much info as I can about the K1 process, such a great resource with  this site. Peace and grace to you all!!

I had the mail from the delivery service that our package was received today ! Yay ! :D

We sent it on 01/23 and it arrived today, on 01/25.

I hope the NOA1 will arrive soon ! :D

Yes it will, because they want to cash your check . But that's all you will see for several months. The waiting times are out of control. Don't want to depress anyone but for anyone to look at your files will   take months and months, if it goes the way it goes. Sorry for bad news.

There's definitely a long wait ahead, but a lot of November filers are now starting to get their NOA2, and things are definitely picking up speed now that the holiday backlog is clearing. I'm remaining optimistic that it'll be just over 2 months between NOA1 and NOA2, as that seems to be a pretty accurate turnaround for a lot of cases. Not *all* cases, I know, but a decent amount. I hope yours moves quickly - good luck!

Hello All,

This is my first post I sent my 129f two days ago on Jan 24 by (merely) USPS Certified.  This is my second 129 package having sent my first on the  day after the fee increased to $535.   I did not wait for return and sent  another 129f package  2 days ago.  I have not received any response  from my December 24, 2016 mailing.  My gf  will interview at Singapore Consulate.  We are doing the forms ourselves and our biggest problem is the exchange of documents: It takes so long by mail/delivery  and her computer skills and access to office equipment is very limited.

Hello all,

our petition was sent on 21st of December, but as we got the NOA1 4th of January, I thought I might join here.

Good luck to all of us for a short waiting period :)
