In your Letter should be a number that starts with WACxxxxxx. If you fill that number in on the USCIS CASE STATUS website then it should tell you when they received your I-129f package. That is your NOA 1 date.

No it's not ... That's receiving date.

I'm super confused right now and this might be a stupid question BUT .. we received the receipt notice on January 30th and on the letter it says 'date of notice January 23rd' (petition was delivered January 19th). Is it right that NOA1 is January 23rd even though we received the letter January 30th?

Yes the 23rd is your NOA1 date, doesn't matter when you got the msg about.

It's indeed the receiving date. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Mine is the same as on the letter.

I have to call them to request expedite and fax them all support documents after that.

What documents do they want in order to get it expedited? Does there have to be a valid reason, or was this just a request to expedite with no questions asked?

Alright, thank you! (Can't tag you AkesAngel for some reason .. <_<)

Easiest way to let me know that you answered ... just quote the msg ;)

But it's fine as I'm mostly reading back :)

Now I'm confused, on the reports which was extracted by @geowrian my WAC number was included to the batch dated on 01/25/17 which is actually my receipt date. I'm counting 5 days earlier :-(

you need a good reason, most commenly its given to milletary members that get deployed, 2nd to people with seriues medical issues. Sometimes like in the case like the other jan filer here he is miletary is not getting deployed but is out on training a lot, he got it to.

https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume1-PartA-Chapter12.html

here is a full list of there criteria. and you can call them to ask if you can aplay for it, then they will have to sent proof that you fall under the criteria and then they will diside if that is enough to expedite.

Don't be confused ... the scans use the receive date ... for the time line on VJ they ask for the NOA date, which is mostly later than the receiving date.

In my case the receiving date is Dec 22nd but the NOA1 date is Jan 4th

You can request an expedite for any reason. However, they will only grant them for certain conditions, and they're usually pretty strict at adhering to it. As others noted, military deployments and such are one reason, as well as medical conditions that require urgency, war, etc.

So here is my stupid question of the day...I am a January filer and I understand all the processes needed to be done to get my loved one here and legal. My question is regarding her 7 year old daughter. I have her included in my petition and we have yet to decide if she will join us immediately. So my question is regarding if she comes with my fiance. What paperwork will we need to do once she gets her to ensure she can enroll in school. What type of documents will she receive to show she is legal here in the states? I know the end game with my fiance is for her to get her green card and maybe consider citizenship. What documentation will we get for her daughter?

thanks in advance

This is a good point. Because the scans use the receipt date on the USCIS website, I actually just refer to that as my NOA1 date. Anyway, a few days here and day would not really matter too much in the grand scheme of things.

I think the only thing that may happen ... if ppl use it as the NOA1 date, they may go crazy earlier as the estimated date here on VJ may be off and the 90 day, we all looking for, is hit earlier.

P. e. In my case I'm on day 102 since receive, but day 89 from NOA1 ... you see what I mean?

I've the same problem with my daughter. She will come with me right after visa in hand. I only know that we need the vaccination record for sure, international birth certificate, documents from her old school and where to call for the new school and tests. I think we can call there as soon as we get registered for living at my fiancees (most likely husband within a week after arrival :P ) adress. But I'm also not sure about that and how exactly that works. I'll have a look if there's a thread for that here on VJ.

If you meet one of criteria in USCIS website you will be assign for it and then you need to send them all support documents belong to what criteria you are qualified for. Hope this will help
