Maybe she'll be getting her vaccines and the hard copy of her results. Make sure she brings it home and brings it to the interview.

That is exactly what we are hoping for. OMG to finally get the interview scheduled and to see her again would be a blessing from God

My visa has been issued and I have it in hand... but I'm not moving until early October. Am planning a weekend visit in September from Canada... and not using my visa - tourist only. Did anyone visit after their visa was issued?

I've been wondering how you guys are doing.  Been a silent reader for months, and felt sorry for your plight.  But now.......

Sounds like the results are good, hope you can now step on the gas and go quickly through the rest of this to a POE and happy ever after.

I have been absent from this thread since the unfortunate delay in my medical due to the sputum test plus the personal evaluation with a psychiatrist. That delayed me for 2 months.

I am glad to report that I just had my interview this morning and I am approved. The people here are amazing and I want to share my happiness with all you lovely people. Thank you.

Congratulations!. Now you could be together with your fiance :)

Thanks. I will be flying to my fiance in October. Unfortunately the delay has affected work and some of my travel plans.

No it has to be done by a priest or a judge for wedding vows

Not sure about California but my nephew performed the service for his best friend in Ohio.

found this about California and performing wedding ceremonies

California Regulations:

Section 400-402 of the California Family Code states that any “authorized person of any religious denomination” may officiate a wedding, including those who have received authorization via the Internet from religious groups. The officiant does not have to be a member of the clergy, according to family law attorney Edna Straus of Mission Viejo, California. “They just have to be recognized by the religious group as authorized.”

Also allowed to officiate are active or retired judges, magistrates, and justices; county clerks within each county; and legislators or members of Congress.

The county clerk is a commissioner of civil marriages and in many counties is allowed to deputize others to perform marriages in the so-called “deputy for a day” program. That means that any adult who applies and pays a small fee may officiate a civil wedding on that particular day for one particular couple. The officiant cannot perform other weddings without reapplying
