This is the happiest moment I have ever experienced in my entire life.

Had my interview on July 25th, and I went to pick up my visa today! It's an amazing feeling seeing the visa in my passport. After all of the waiting, I'm flying out this Saturday!^_^

Canadian applicants - I just scheduled my interview for sept 6 as this was the earliest date possible. Is there a way to check the calendar to see if earlier dates open up? I was afraid to click reschedule in case it cancelled my appointment and only later dates were available! Thanks

I was under the understanding that K1 and other fliers must pay the terminal fee at NAIA upon departure. I used your link to the article but it speaks of OFW's not "others" like K1 visa holders that need no pay. But, you say you didn't pay the terminal fee when you departed on your K1 visa. By chance were you once a OFW and for some reason there is residual from your travels that indicate that the terminal fee wasn't required from you. I'm a little suspicious only because this is the first I heard of this and I would like to be straight with the current process. I help many over in the Filipino sub-forum and would not like to give out inaccurate information.

I appreciate your answer.

No problem @Greenbaum! You and @Hank_ have quite helped me a lot. Thanks to the both of you! :) This is true, the article doesn't speak for all cases.

Not once an OFW but I have travelled outside the country several times before, as tourist. What I could remember was, when I walked into terminal 3, there were signs in walls saying terminal fee was "waived"/"being refunded". I'm sorry, I forgot how it goes. The employees assisting passengers lined up in counters were saying to everyone and not just me in particular, that there's no more terminal fee to pay. I'm afraid I'm not entirely definite on the reason why..i thought the article was it. The travel tax, I had to verify. The person behind the travel tax counter inspected my ticket and showed me where it says it's already covered. The breakdown shows travel tax, but not the terminal fee. So, idk. I bought the ticket locally. I checked United's website for flights, setting the region in Ph. Called them for booking, and then paid with my money in cash at the bank. I chose to buy it that way, it was easy for me to call the airline's local office whenever I got questions..and I was trying to use up my pesos anyway. Have a great day you two!

reschedule won't cancel your appointment. This is the only way. As long as you don't pick a new slot and you don't hit confirm you will be fine. Check it a lot everyday... I didn't get lucky myself, I wanted it before tomorrow and never found anything. I wish you better luck.

Yes, that was during the transition when the fee was added to the airfare for all airlines.  The terminal fee is still being paid, just not directly anymore.  All airports have terminal fees.. they are simply added to the cost of the ticket.

Annoying for the OFWs

I had my interview today (exactly 7 months after NOA1) and it was APPROVED :jest:

I feel like this huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, such a relief...

The interviewer asked me about: my fiancé's name,  how and where we met,  where does he live, what is his proffesion, his last marriage. Regarding to myself, how many times I have been to US, where, how much time I spent there. I mentioned about the situation when I was denied entry, however he didn't ask about it. He also asked me about my eyes disease which made quite surprised because at medicals the doctor said it would not be bring up at the interview. I didn't have to present any proof of our relationship.

Thank you all for your posts, support. Congratulations to those who already got theirs approvals and good luck to all who still waititng, stay strong :)
