Arrived in the US last July 26, 2017. Point of Entry: San Francisco. 25-hr flight. Walked through customs easily with no issues. Officer greeted me nicely. He took my passport and visa packet, did his thing, stamped on pages, biometrics, and just asked how much dollars I was carrying in cash. No other questions at all. No I-94 form to fill up, it's now digital. He put an entry stamp in my passport showing the validity of the 90-day stay. I just checked today, and saw my Admission Record Number at the I-94 website. Airport employees were all nice and friendly. I'm so glad that we're together now. We've been apart for 8 months. I took my time before moving here. To everyone here waiting, please be strong and patient, just hang on and your time will come soon. It's definitely worth it in the end. Thanks for the support you've given me, and been giving one another. Looking forward to talk about adjusting status with you soon! Goodluck and best wishes to all of you!

I did the same before coming here. I try to be prepared ahead of time, and made sure I got everything that would be needed down the road. They don't give the number at the airport. You get the number from the website after entering, and you can also print a legit copy that can be used for any paperwork later: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search

Hello Guys,

January filers here. I'd like to ask does anyone who got AP here? I know that the majority experienced administrative processing as they say it's pretty normal. My question is how long does your status stay on AP before it changed to "Issued".

Here's my timeline:

July 26 - interview - approved

July 27 - status changed to application received and the date creation updated to July 27 later afternoon another update again from immigrant to non immigrant and administrative processing.

July 28 to 29 - still on non immigrant AP

Do they process visa during weekends?

I am kinda anxious rightnow coz I have read some horror story about administrative processing that they're stuck on AP for weeks, months or even year. My fiance will arrive in August 13 to collect me and he already booked a flight on August 19. I'm just really hoping that I'll get an update soon to "Issued". I opted to pick up my visa in 2go.

Can anyone here share their experience or shed a light?

CONGRATS to all who got approved.

Thank you in advance. :)

It's normal! The status really changes to non immigrant and can stay in AP for a few days.

Then say you don't have any dollars in you. Heads up, fyi just in case, you have to fill up the 6059B Customs Declaration Form. You write down items needed to be declared, things of value, not necessarily an inventory of all your items. Flight attendants hand this form to passengers, and you can fill up the form in the plane or at the airport before you go through customs. Look it up. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/566276-customs-declaration-form/

Thanks Ms. Lara. Today is my 4th day under non immigrant AP. And honestly, I'm getting more anxious and stress everytime I check the status and no update. I just hope I'll not get stuck in AP as other experienced. I called the embassy today but as usual the agent cannot tell further information about my status he only said that my case is under review by consular.  Praying hard that visa will issued soon.
