Hi Guys,

Sorry to ask a common sense question, I am just so worried to be tricked as nowadays there are a lot of fishing website.

Is http://www.ustraveldocs.com a legit site? If it is, why it is not .gov?

Is https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ the site to pay the visa fee and make visa interview appointment? Why it is not .gov?

Is https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ DS160 site? Since it is .gov, I suppose it is all good.

This is quite confusing as such a simple thing requires so many strange sites. Are they all legit? Thanks!

Cheers!

Lol I just got packet 3 today in the mail...but they actually forgot to join the actual packet 3. So I have the copy of the approved petition, the pamphlet, but no packet 3. Luckily I wasn't waiting after that to keep moving!

They sent it on the 11th, didn't take too long for me to receive it though.

On the letter there should be a website that you have to go on to get pkt 3. It's a checklist I believe.

My case says ISSUED !! Since yesterday actually .. one day after my interview. I will book a flight once I got the visa in my hands. You never know what happens and I don't want to risk anything. But I'm planning on leaving on August 8th and can't wait to be back with my love and my dog and cat and to eat Tacos and Empanadas all day long 😩

So happy for you, Hannah! Just a few more weeks! <3

Yeah I've found packet 3 online. Just funny how they sent mail, and they label that it includes packet 3, but it's not there...Anyway, as I said my packet 3 was long sent :P

Hi everyone so I got approved at the consulate in Montreal on Wednesday. They say it takes two weeks to receive the visa. How long did it actually take for some of you Canadians? Thank you.

Yes they are all legitimate site.

One thought into why there are so many various sites is that there are contracting companies that are handling different elements of the processing.

Or, since I'm  a webmaster and understand this this happens on a regular basis over time, they were just not able to acquire the .gov URLs. Or just didnt care to coordinate with the various agencies. Reality is that no one who knows what government does and what logic that it does things. LOL

don't worry about the sites. We have all been using them just fine.

Thanks for clarifying!!!

I have been tracking CEAC and it has been "At NVC" for days. I just thought about starting DS160. As soon as I saved my draft and check the tracker again, it is "In transit"! Is this purely coincidental?

Most of us Canadian active haven't had our interview yet ...Eastcoast and I are scheduled in August...Calah got her interview on the 19th as well...I haven't heard from Danni in a little while...

I guess us January filers got pretty unlucky as far as our deadlines are concerned lol.

I'd love to hear when you and @calahjosh931 get your passport back.
