Be careful. Wait till you have your visa in your hands be booking and paying any tickets.  I have been on here long enough to see people who passed their interview at USEM and were delayed in receiving their visa 2 weeks to 9 months. Some even had to return to get spelling errors fixed. You won't board a plane if your visa is not in the right name as the immigration and the airlines look for that item. So buyer beware.

Good to know! Thanks.

Has anyone who has been interviewed in Canada have a fiancé who is self employed? Curious about how much evidence of support they need? He makes well above the necessary limit, but is just 2 past years tax returns enough?

Ysa wanted me to pass this on to everyone who is having a Philippine Embassy interview:

Just want to share my interview that happened yesterday July 17. My schedule time was 6:40am. I arrived at the embassy around 6:10 and I asked the guard where I should line up and showed him my appointment confirmation. I was third on the line. 😍After few mins a lady working for the embassy let us enter and they asked for the ds-160 and passport. They inserted the passport in a zip locked plastic and they also put sticker barcode with my name on it on my ds-160. I went inside the embassy.  They scanned my bag, my fault I forgot to remove my USB 😭 I couldn't enter if I had it, so i decided to throw it! 😭😭😭 I just have to  imagine I lost it lol 🤣.

First step was the filipino consular, he only asked me whats my name, birthday, and when and how we meet and if my fiancé is divorce and whats the name of his ex wife. He asked for the divorce paper. His keyboard was not working so he decided to stop asking question and told me to go at window 43 for fingerprint.

Last step is the American consular. In my guess he is only in his late 20's. I was praying that he will not conduct my interview because I can hear how many questions he asked to the person he was interviewing before me, I am guessing they last for 10 mins or more. It was my turn whhhaa... He gave me this poker serious intimidating face 😧. (Im nervous and when I'm nervous I always smile hahaha to cover up the nervousness). He asked me my name but since he was speaking far from the mic I need to tip toe and move my ear closer to the window so i can hear him properly (short struggle is real) then I was smiling again I told him sorry I'm small then he laughed (without the sound) coz he saw how I had to struggle from the tip toe thing I did and he said its his fault he is speaking far from the mic. So he adjusted lol. I got relaxed when I saw his face smiling then all through out the interview he was smiling already. He only asked me whats my name, if when we meet in person and pictures together of me and my fiance. I made a scrap book and I really wanted to present that, as i work my butt off to make that scrap book perfect. I told him "I do sir, but im not sure if my scarp book will fit in the window". He smiled he said "i dont think so". I got sad but I told him I have back up document and showed it to him. He was still looking at my scarp book and he said the scarp book is cute. After that he said he dont see any reason why he should not approve me, he can see how happy I am with my fiance and he stamp the folder and told me I can go home and wait for the visa 7-10 days. Gave me a paper and thats it.

I cant believed that he didn't asked anything more so I asked him really? (With matching  big eyes and my big giggling smile) and he smiled and said congrats and out of my happiness I just said thank you and I said "happy dance" and he got surprised with the happy dance statement and he laughed.

Overall interview I felt like I am just talking to a friend sharing my love story. Show your big smile! Smile is contagious! It will help you more relaxed. My schedule was 6:40 but I was done 7:30am.

Yeah I don't think we need more than that ...But here is the website: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Step_4_Collect_Financial_Documents.html

Here is what packet 4 says as far as financial evidence:

Affidavit of support (I-134) (for fiancé, employment and DV visas)

Evidence of support (I-864, Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year)

But with answering this question one arise to me...I thought we didn't need the form I-864 for our visa, but here it clearly states it...Do we need it or not?

On the Canada US consulate review page, in a July 3 review, the beneficiary of the visa was asked for the I-864, but that was for the CR1 visa. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else

It seemed to come quickly after it was at NVC. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks?

I've just been looking through VJ threads and may have found something.

After booking your interview, you got a confirmation page to print out, correct?

Does this page have your name and LND case number on it?

I'm thinking i could provide this to to knightsbridge as proof of case number instead of the CEAC sreenshot!

Cheers

Exciting news for us today. My fiancé finished her interview about 20 minutes ago and was successful in getting her Visa! Her best tip was to smile and all those who she encountered smiled back! A great way to start a conversation. Next stop... booking our flight!

Congratulations! :)
