Finally, the case is now "in transit". :) How long will it take for the Philippine Embassy to receive it?

Salamat, @Chris and Tin! My case was "in transit" for just a day. :) You're so close!

APPROVED!!! I was at the embassy for less than an hour. I was interviewed by a female consul (probs in her late twenties) who was very cool, conversational, and funny. She talked really fast, so the interview was over in less than 5 minutes. I was 2nd to be interviewed but first to walk outta there feeling like a champ. :D:D:D

Words cannot express how happy I am right now. I am so glad I can finally relax!

Thanks to everyone who helped me throughout this excruciatingly long and incredibly stressful process. I appreciate every single one of you and I wish you all the best!

I shall write a detailed "review" later. Need to catch some z's first because I stayed up all night worrying. Haha! xD

congratulations 🎊🎉🎉 hope i will got approved too🙏🏻

Have you tried submitting a request to your congress person?

I have not, but I am not sure how much different their inquiry will be than the one I already put in. I am just hoping for answers soon at this point.

It's interesting how USCIS has changed my perception of time. When I started this journey, the 3 months between my fiancées visits seemed like eternity and I was naive enough to think the entire process was about that long. Now, 3 months seems like nothing. When this is over, I need to somehow reprogram my mind back to a normal perception of time or else my life will be over in a flash. I guess this is the effect that this type of torture has on the how human mind. Forget guantanamo.

Hang in there. You and everyone else here are some of the strongest people I know. You're almost there.

Congress makes a big difference, they reach out to a rep that works with them directly. You'll get a response sooner then later!.....

i had to get mine involved, it was worth it

as @Buttaflyzoe said, it makes a difference. The other inquiry is through them, they still pull some because they can. Congress people are their boss, but not their direct boss and they need to answer to them. Basically it puts political pressure on them at a whole other level. My dad works for government agency here, and he told me, if government gets involved,  that person document happen to end up at the top of the pile in order to avoid more issues.

I think the nicest part is that while the waiting during this process is painfully longer than the waits that often exist between long-distance relationship visits, the end result is the ULTIMATE prize. No more waiting or distance, no more time zone discrepancies, just a normal life where you spend every day with the person that you care most about! I'd say that makes it all worth it!

Ysa and I are super happy for you HazeyHaze. Her interview is Monday, so we are going crazy a bit, but Ysa is super organized and I think she is very ready for this. Once again CONGRATS!!!
