The interview is finally scheduled for Aug 1st.

For everyone that's still waiting on NOA2, please hang on a bit longer. It's gotta be soon.

Hi there.

on the knightsbridge medical page it says we have to bring a letter from the embassy to the medical appointment.

How do we bring that to the appointment if the london embassy does not have our application yet? is this letter vital?

cheers

My fiance had his interview yesterday. He was NOT approved. They said we needed "proof of relationship".  I guess the chat logs, pictures, western union receipts etc. weren't good enough.

So sorry to hear you wasn't approved :(.... Keep up the good fight

We called both NVC numbers but it was the non-immigrant that gave us the news and the case number. Yes, we just asked for the case number.

Knightsbridge is the right place 😁

And we choose to schedule the interview 11 days after the medical. Knightsbridge says to wait 5 days. We doubled that. To avoid issues it's best to make sure your medical results are at the embassy before the interview.

We are just very confused,

you said you booked but on visajourney flowchart it says that the US embassy issues the interview date.

my questions is; when and how can we book the interview date? can i book it now that i have the case number? or do i have to wait until london has our application.

so sorry for the bombarding messages we are just a little stressed!

Thanks so much!

guys i have 2 questions:

1) what do you do in a case like this if no feedback on why you were denied was given?

2) anyone here has met their fiance in about 2/3 months before filing and been in a relationship about 2/3 months before filing the fiance visa and was approved? (or have heard of cases as such)

just curious mostly about the second one.

I will try to help. Keep in mind that I am tough when it comes to this stuff. I read until I think I know enough and feel confident and then I pull the trigger. I am no expert, and my entire case could fall through I guess, but here is what I did. :)

There is an NVC case checker that you can type you LND number into here:

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

You want to follow this exact order:

  1. We waited until the case checker above said "READY"
  2. We completed the DS160 online.
  3. We Scheduled the medical over the phone. You will pay 300 pounds when you go to the medical.
  4. We submitted the readiness form online.
  5. We scheduled the interview online. this is when you will pay $265.00 and you will also have the option to pay for the carrier service at the same time (19 pounds)

I have been told that we DON'T need a letter from the embassy to schedule anything. Just bring anything that has your LND case number to the medical as proof. I fedexed my NVC letter to my fiancee in Bristol.

Read all of this too:

NOA1 1/17 still no NOA2.... So I still have not received my NOA2 yet.. My case was transferred to Nebraska on May 25th which I found bizarre but every time I spoke to them even Tier 2 they all told me there isn't any red flags and this is normal for cases to be transferred from time to time. Also the letter for reasoning of transfer really said nothing in it on why. Once my case was out of processing time I put and inquiry in, which they sent me a reply via email this past thursday July 6th. Once again USCIS says little to nothing "

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below."

Clearly is a lie because there are tons of people after 1/17 who are even going for interviews already... Trying to be patient and will be going too see my fiancee in 3 weeks once again but it is so difficult. Especially when they literally tell you nothing, the only positive at this point is that they didnt say it was being held for security checks. I am hoping maybe the inquiry will get them to do something with my case now but I just dont know anymore, I would even be happy with an RFE at this point.

i cannot find where to complete the DS160? Also, i cannot find this "readiness form".

when you scheduled the interview, what details did you need? Can i schedule it now with my case number even though it hasnt left the NVC yet?

i will get my fiance to send the letter from nvc (although she hasn't recieved this yet, we only found out our case number on the phone, do you reccomend waiting for the letter?

thats pretty crazy you'e fiance is from Bristol i live 15 minutes away in Bath :)

If you follow exactly the order I gave above, you will have everything you need to schedule the interview, which is the LND number, the DS160 receipt number, the applicant's personals info (like birthday, passport number, etc) and the money.

You need to read everything here. It explains the steps I mentioned above in detail, where, when, etc.

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/

Follow the steps exactly how I outlined them above. It worked out fine for me. One final note. Make sure to schedule your interview a couple weeks after the medical to avoid issues at your interview. The medical results need to be at the embassy before your interview.

So .. I will have my interview next week July 18th. The week is going to be super tough but I finally don't have to wait for something anymore not knowing when this will be. Like waiting for NOA2 was just awful. Same with NVC. It felt like we were waiting on something that's never going to happen. And now finally a week from now I'll have my interview and I'm scared but I hope it will be fine so I can come home to my loving future husband end of July.

I apologize, i think i was going too fast earlier and skipped over important bits

But thank you, i feel ALOT better now.

One more question about the affidavit of support (form I-864) on the document checklist it says

"if you applied for a visa through the NVC, they will forward the form I-864 to the immigration visa unit together with your immigrant visa file".

I just want to double check this means that me (and you) have already done this at the start of our application and there is no need to complete this again, getting my fiance's financial records, and taking it to the interview.

Cheers again,

James

The affidavit we need is the I-134. I can't recall if it was in the first petition, but we do not need to do/redo it  that is for sure! The K1 fiancé visa wasn't applied directly through NVC.

I don't blame you for being a bit stressed. I think we all are.

I mailed the aff of support to my fiancee and she will simply take it with her to the interview. That's how we plan on doing it.
