Hey Everyone, so an update for the interview that my fiance had...

SHE PASSED!!! :D

It's a relief that the interview process is finally over! The only thing she was not sure of was the prior company's name I worked for but they knew our relationship was genuine.  They asked her the typical things like

-Where was your fiance from?

-how did you meet?

-what's your Fiancèe's work?

-how long did he work at his current company?

They didn't really ask for any evidence or looked at the documents, but told her she was approved!

They took her passport and said you should receive the passport and visa within 2-3 days! :dancing:

Congrats, enjoy your life together I know the wait was long and difficult but soon you will be together

How long does it take for the embassy to actually receive and process the k1 visa petition?

I called the NVC last week and they said that they sent the package to the seoul embassy on June 15th. It is now July 3rd. Is it normal to take more than 3 weeks to hear from the embassy?

My finacee called the embassy but they didn't tell her if they had received the package or not.. in fact they were very vague and general. All they said was to wait and that they'd email something once they process it.

At this step everything is really country specific. So if she called the embassy and they said to wait, well I don'T know what else to say myself. Sorry :(

It's been more than 60 days since USCIS received my response to RFE. Called again and was told to send a request online because for some reason they cannot do it.

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Is this a new site?

It has such amazing functionalities below!!! Sounds like we can do our future applications, e.g., EAD, AP, AOS, Remove conditions online? Is that true? Too good to be true :jest:

Create a new account

You need to create a new account if you want to:
  • File an application, petition, or request online
  • Access information about your case and you received either a Case Passcode from your attorney or accredited representative or an Account Acceptance Notice from USCIS
Advantages of a USCIS online account:
  • File an application, petition, or request with USCIS
  • Check your case status
  • Pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee
  • Check your USCIS Immigrant Fee payment status
  • Change your U.S. mailing address

My NVC case tracker said "ready" yesterday so i assumed they got my file. I went and paid the visa fee but they said the payment takes 5h to go through, and once the 5 hours were done, the work day was finished so i had to wait til today. I called today for an appointment, they asked me if i received a package with instructions, i told them i didnt. Finally they said they can't do anything because it's 4th of July. I'm done trusting this "email" jibber jabber i've been waiting for emails from USCIS, NVC and got nothing, i doubt the embassy is any different. I'd say keep tryin but the whole 4th of July might have something to do with delays :) Good luck

Haha I hear you! I haven't gotten anything from the consulate yet, but sent packet 3 as well when it said ready. I was supposed to wait for packet 4 (includes instructions on how to schedule the interview). At first I couldn't schedule, it told me it wasn't ready and then last Friday it was, so I scheduled, but I still haven't gotten a package 4...I think I do need it for my interview though...Maybe my fellow Canadians can confirm? I have the email confirmation of the interview scheduling, which should be good for the medical appointment correct?

Honestly I don't think the Chilean embassy would be THAT busy especially since they are a country part of the ESTÁ visa waiver program.

Yeah but it seems the only way to contact this embassy is through email. They don't answer the phone and I have yet to find out if there is an online calendar system.

Make sure to check the scheduling page everyday to see if someone canceled. That's what I did when I rescheduled my interview to next week... I checked 3 times each day til I finally got lucky! :D

She could have done it in a day, but unfortunately got a dermatological referral.  So that was an extra day, and one for immunization after that.  But you can do it all in one day if you get there early.  Again, Good Luck.  At worst if all goes well, you may need a second day for immunization to finish it up.

I went to my psychological evaluation today, and boy, was that a weird experience.

The shrink talked to me for about ten minutes only. He asked basic info about me and my partner at first, and then asked me when, why and how I cut myself. He kept interrupting me, though, to say "you should say this instead". So basically, it was more of a coaching session than anything else... He was telling me what to say in case it gets brought up during the interview...

It truly was an odd feeling sitting there listening to him tell me what to say as that was not what I expected at all. But I guess that is good, though? I guess I should be relieved since it seems like he's going to clear me. After all, he already taught me what to say during the interview.

Hey guys! I went to my medical exams yesterday and my results will be ready one day after the interview. They said they would mail them to the consulate. Would that be a problem ? Would my visa be delayed because of that ? Thanks !!
