Tomorrow it's exactly one month and I just had a fight with my fiancé because I asked him to call every night and he spent 4 hours playing video games and I woke up this morning at 5:50am which is 11:50pm his time and reminded him to call because he forgot. And he didn't even ask if we're going through the new process system too and didn't put some pressure on them. This feels like forever.

I am sorry to hear that! This process is very nerves wrecking and put a lot of stress on a relationship. Be strong hun and try not to let the stress of the whole process put stress on your relationship. Good luck!

One question .. I emailed them but didn't get a 'we received your email' or whatever systems usually send back after a request. Is that normal?

I don't think I had gotten one either. Suddenly I just got the response and my fiance even got a call. I think it usually takes them 2 or 3 days to respond but i think they got back to us quicker as we also had called 2 times that day and asked to speak to a supervisor to get their attention instead of just letting them put us off ONCE AGAIN with a 'sorry still nothing'. There's nothing wrong to pressure a little bit after you waited so long, just stay friendly :-)

speaking to a supervisor really helps too, the phone agents you usually speak to reallly can't do anything but tell you whats in the computer.

This whole process puts a lot of strain on relationships. My fiancee and I waited 215 days for NOA2 which we just got on June 5th (we are November 3rd filers), and it was so stressful for the both of us. We are coming up on 1 year of being physically separated. Soon you will be with your fiancee, keep your head up and don't let this nasty process get between your love for one another!
