Omg this is so damn annoying I thought I will have my interview in July and i already scheduled a medical for July 4th to make sure it arrives on time a time the embassy. Do you think I should push the medical a week or so back? Man I'm supposed to be happy that I get married soon but I'm more stressed, depressed and frustrated than anything else.

It's very, very annoying. I too want my interview in July as my lease here in Berlin ends July 31st. My medical is scheduled for tomorrow - I had to book it a month in advance for Berlin and did so once I received my NOA-2. Not once did I think it would take this long to get a case number, so I'm praying I can get it today so I don't have to cancel my medical and move it back. I would say to you to hang on to your medical date for now, at least another week, to see if you get your case number. I am so sick and tired of this process and will be very, very happy when it's over.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time before it updates from assigned, to in transit, to ready. Normally it takes 4-5 business days before it gets received from the consulate.

I checked ceac around 11pm last night and it said at nvc, checked this morning at 6am and it's in transit 🤗🤗🤗🤗

My fiance works at the airport and is studying to be an airplane mechanic. I'll ask him if he can help your fiance get a job there. :D

Anyway, if he's currently not working, then are you going to get a sponsor?

It seems to be the case that Frankfurt is trying out electronic processing, which means your details get digitally sent to Germany but take a little longer to process. As I mentioned in the Feb thread last night, after speaking with NVC, Frankfurt is listed as one of the embassies that can handle electronic processing for CR-1 visas, and now seems to be on a trial for the electronic transfer of K1 petitions too.

NVC told us yesterday our case was being sent to Frankfurt electronically, and my understanding is that only a certain number of NVC agents are able to see our case in their system and deal with it.  When we call, some tell us they haven't received it and are very rude, but others are able to see it in their system and confirm it was received two weeks ago. After getting to a supervisor, they confirmed they received it June 3rd and it is being processed electronically, which should be complete today. They ask for up to 6 weeks to receive the case, and then up to 2 weeks to process it after receiving it.

If you're going through Germany, it's possible that this is happening to you too, so be sure to ask if your case is being processed in that way next time you call. Often when you press NVC about not having your number, the agent "looks in a different section/area" and then finds your case. If you get someone unhelpful, like one particular agent I always get, hang up and try again.

I am wondering with what you are saying if my case was electronically sent. I called basically every day since 2 weeks after NOA2. On june 7th, I was told by one lady received since the 31st, but no number... every other time I called before or after, I was told not received. Yesterday I was finally told a number, which was assigned on the 14th and my petition was sent to the consulate on the 16th. It was already ready yesterday on the CEAC tracker...

hey guys were still waiting for MNL case number we received NOA2 june7 and we didnt received MNL case # yet do u think how many weeks or days we need to wait thanks in advance

Well it can take up to 6 weeks to get to NVC from what I was told. Normally for MNL it goes much  faster, but you are still way within processing time. NOA2 date was May 10th and I got my number yesterday! So definitely do not worry. People normally experience a 3 weeks on average so 21 days. Lately they have been saying more 24-30.

Often when you press NVC about not having your number, the agent "looks in a different section/area" and then finds your case. If you get someone unhelpful, like one particular agent I always get, hang up and try again.

This is getting more than annoying! I've been calling NVC for case number at night around 11pm and my response was always to give them 6 weeks. OK, 1.5 week ago, I called around 8:30am and spoke with a lady. Maybe she was in a hurry, after I gave her my USCIS receipt #, she told me they received my case but case number is not yet issue, and hung up...  So, I gave them a few more days and called back at 11pm 3 days in a roll, I explained to the pm agent that I might be one of the lucky one going under this new "electronic process" and I was told by the am agent that my case was received from USCIS few days ago, can I get the case # please. None of the agents I spoke with can see any of my information in system and they repeated the "6 weeks phrase" again. I gave up and decided not to call for awhile because I do not want to get disappointed again.

Today, I decided to call in the morning at 8:30am by pressing 1 after I hear the recording, I spoke with a lady and she told me to press 5 instead, by pressing 5, I will get the help I needed. So, I called again, I pressed 5 and spoke with a very nice guy. After I gave him my receipt #, he asked me our names and DOB, and he told me he is surprise that I do not have a case # still. He wants me to speak with another guy and find out why, so I did. I explained to the other guy and here is the explanation. My case was receive on June 3 and NVC does not give case # out to K1 visa... WHAT? OK, I said how would I track my case then, right? He said is done electronically and my case is still in process and will probably send to embassy 2 days after. I was shocked and I made myself repeat what he said to make sure I didn't hear it wrong. Not only that, I made him repeat what he said 2 more times and hope he knows what he is talking about. So, my answer for tonight is NVC received my case since JUNE 3 and I will not have a case # until the embassy send me the letter. If I want to know if embassy receive it or not, give them a call. Seriously!? OMG

BTW, My NOA2 is 5/15

To put things simply, this electronic processing nonsense that is going on at the NVC is a shambles. It seems that only some agents are trained to use it, and others can't even see your case in the system. Calling the immigrant line and choosing option 5 is the RECOMMENDED way to go, as it seems to be these agents who process CEAC (electronic) cases and can see your info right away.

Their general consensus is that it takes longer to process, because it's a new system - hence the looooong wait for a case number. But then you gain time with it being emailed to your consulate or embassy, as opposed to having it couriered. So it goes from no case number, nothing, to at your embassy quickly, they say.

Ours was received June 3rd; they told us to give them two weeks before a case number would be issued. That two weeks was yesterday but after calling this morning, they still don't have a number for us. I've been told it's being inputted currently and going through quality control, to ensure the paper information matches up with the digital information, after which a case number will be issued and we'll get an email. I was also told that as the electronic system is new, it's sometimes taking a little more than 2 weeks to get the case number. Which is just nonsense; how long, realistically, can they take? I can't believe we still don't have one and I will continue to call a few more times today to try and get an answer.

It is indeed bull! It takes 3-4days with courrier, so waiting 6 weeks is quite not the deal...I am sorry! I hope that once you get your case number it will go quickly.
