You're from Germany too right? Is our German ' Gymnasium' high school? Haven't filled out yet since I wait for case number

Hey Hannah! Actually from London but live here in Berlin currently. According to wikipedia, the following all count as secondary education: Gymnasium, Gesamtschule, Realschule, Hauptschule, Fachoberschule

So yeah, a Gymnasium would be required on the DS-160! Hope this helps.

@chibijedi seemed to say that his embassy in Japan allowed him to fill a new DS160 and just update the number for his interview that was previously planned. If your interview hasn't been planned, I would say just fill a new one and use that right confirmation number.

I am so worried now! We had filled out the DS160 and have the interview planned! We have paid the visa fee already and used the confirmation number, hopefully this will not affect us! So stressed now! the trick worked when you hit previous and then it ask for the education history.

I am finishing up my DS160, I believe we do not need our NVC number input there right? Only receipt...As  I am reviewing the DS160 I was looking for the spot for the NVC number and I cannot find it.

You are good. The FAQ section for the DS160 says to use the USCIS receipt number. :)

I just gave them a call and they said don't worry about it, if it is required, the embassy will ask for additional information if needed. *sigh* that's a big relief. They also explained that each visa DS160 case is different base to base as well.

Hi! I called Thursday and nothing and will try again tomorrow.  However, I've been keeping my eye on fellow canadians and it seems many have had to wait at least a month for their case numbers, and they seem to be getting them by email (to the petitioner).  I'll let you know tomorrow once I call if I get anything/ or if my fiance gets an email.

I was too bored at work so I called NVC lol. I got my case number and they said it was just sent to Montreal today.

Did you manage to call them today?

I just called and it's not there yet, but everyone getting them makes Me confident I will have it by next Friday (6 weeks) so I don't have much longer to wait!!! I was aiming for end of July/ beginning of August interview anyways so I have that at least.

We are actually not in a rush to go for the interview. My fiance who was born in the US but grew up in Canada just relocated to the LA and is still looking for a job.
