Hmmmm Im not sure about the update, I just know when I filled it out a few weeks ago, there was nothing about academic information. I didn't actually submit mine yet as I am waiting for my NVC number.  I will need to go back and edit before sending, which I believe is when you have packet 3.   (I can download Montreals packet 3 off their website and when you send it back, I think completing the DS160 is part of that).

Hi @eastcoastgroove I noticed that we had the same NOA2 date! I'm in Vancouver so will be dealing with Montreal as well... Just wondering if you have contacted NVC to get a case number? My fiance called on Jun 9th but no luck. And we haven't called again. Hope we get the NVC number soon!

Just to give everyone an update. We had our interview today. The CO that did the interview sounded angry the entire time. Almost like he had a personal anger towards us. This is in Japan embassy which is supposed to be easiest. By the tone if his voice it sounded like he was set in denying us just because we only meet in person one time (not counting now) if they are even allowed to deny for that reason that is just how he came off.

I had prepared tons and tons of supporting evidence like 50 pages of Facebook chat screenshots. 50 pages of call logs. Over 50 photographs of us together in Cambodia and Japan. Even pages from a live journal we kept, and all of the receipts from when I sent her WU or had flowers delivered. After the questions asking phase of the interview he asked for all of the documents we bring with us so I give him all of that. Maybe 10 minute later he calls us up again and in a still angry voice says that our visa is approved and we will receive in mail within 7 days.

Peeps do both petitioner and beneficiary get emails from the NVC with the case number or is it just a letter in the mail for the petitioner? Both me and my fiance have added our email addresses to our I-129f Form...

For my case, NVC sent a snail mail to the petitioner's address. You can call to NVC toll free to ask for your case number after your petition reaches to NVC

I need your help!

I completed the DS160 and booked my interview. But I think I have an issue. When I filled the DS160 form, it didn't ask me to fill the academic background. That page didn't show up. But apparently it's supposed to show up and I need to fill that information.

I'm going to ask my lawyer about this if I need to create a new form and re-schedule the interview. However, if you can share some information with me, it'll be much appreciated.

Yep, on my DS-160 I have to fill out all of my education history above secondary level, including time periods and areas of concentration. It was under Work/Travel/Education information. I have had both J-1 and F1 visas before, which might have triggered it, but I don't know?

When we filled out our DS160 a couple weeks ago,  we had went through the form very carefully and I don't remember a academic page, this must be a new addition.

Just done mine last week

i dont have academic page too

Well i first filled my DS-160 out about 6 weeks ago, and the question was there then and still is now, so clearly not a new thing but perhaps one that differs based on circumstance.

Peeps i'm reading the instructions for the i-134 form and in the Supporting Evidence section i see no mention of pay stubs or W2 or taxes

"Submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:

A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following        details regarding the account:

               (1) Date account opened; (2) Total amount deposited for the past year; and (3) Present balance.

B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:

               (1) Date and nature of employment; (2) Salary paid; and (3) Whether the position is temporary or                      permanent.

C. If self-employed:

                (1) Copy of last income tax return filed; or (2) Report of commercial rating concern.

D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s)"

. - From the I-134 instructions

Same with the US embassy in my country...all the required documents are as followed:

  • Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview.
  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
  • Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
  • Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
  • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
  • Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
  • Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
  • Payment of fees, as explained below

What's the story of the pay stubs and taxes, where are they mentioned?

I have officially given up all hope! Haha still waiting for NOA2! It must be our turn now?

:( Jan 17th NOA1 no RFE no NOA2 yet, I am also starting to lose all hope in the process seeing all these people go for interviews in Jan and people in Feb n March receiving NOA2 already is definitely frustrating and upsetting. I am happy for everyone who is moving along just wish I would get some answers soon.

What's your received date? Processing times refer to that one apparently, so maybe you are already past processing times (15th January) and therefore legitimated to call or make an inquiry.

Good luck!
