Not sure about other countries but there is a high rate of TB in the Philippines, part of the medical is chest X-rays. If they see anything on the X-ray they do additional screening for TB. They saw something on my loves X-ray so 3 days straight she will cough up some stuff from her lungs and they will test it for TB. If positive 6 months of medication to clear it. If negative then we wait for a 2 month culture to ensure she does not carry the disease. In the end it is just more time and effort and actually we make sure my love is safe and healthy...She is well worth the wait....my last love

Hey guys, my passport has validity until December 2018. I am heading for the interview in a few weeks and I was wondering if the validity of my passport might be an issue?

I don't know if it differs by country, but for Germany your passport must have six months' validity beyond the issue date of the visa. Check with your embassy or packet 3 checklist.

My case was approved on June 7th, 2017.

 

I am still however concerned for the people who are walking down this same path behind me. If I go to the USCIS website:

And type in my case: XXXXXXXXXXXXX

 

I get the message that my case is received. My case is approved, not received 

 

The citizens of this country deserve to have a case tracking system that works. If it doesn't work, at the very least we deserve and honest answer that it doesn't and an ETR of when it will be fixed. The case tracker has been broken since May 2nd, 2017 and countless people have reported it broken and the USCIS phone support refuses to acknowledge it or fix it. 

 

I am a member of an online immigration forum and this sort of thing, along with many other USCIS related issues are giving the United States a bad image for the people who are immigration here. I have seen countless immigrants talking about how disorganized and broken USCIS is, and rightly so seeing how USCIS has handled our cases.

 

Would it be possible to please submit a new inquiry about the case tracker being broken?

My baby surprised meeeeee this weekend!! She came on Friday and left a little while ago 😭😭😭 ..... just sharing my happiness! Love is such a beautiful thing! 

 

 

I hope hope everyone is progressing speedily with their case! I'm waiting on our case to get to the embassy...

I need your help!

 

I completed the DS160 and booked my interview. But I think I have an issue. When I filled the DS160 form, it didn't ask me to fill the academic background. That page didn't show up. But apparently it's supposed to show up and I need to fill that information.

I'm going to ask my lawyer about this if I need to create a new form and re-schedule the interview. However, if you can share some information with me, it'll be much appreciated.

That could possibly be an older version of it (if you've read guides).  I don't believe I had to fill out any academic information either.

I am still waiting on NVC number, but my DS160 is ready, and I sure do not remember filling a part about my academic information either...

I just filled out the ds160 last night and it asked academic information for my fiancé. I wonder if they updated the form recently?

Hmmmm Im not sure about the update, I just know when I filled it out a few weeks ago, there was nothing about academic information. I didn't actually submit mine yet as I am waiting for my NVC number.  I will need to go back and edit before sending, which I believe is when you have packet 3.   (I can download Montreals packet 3 off their website and when you send it back, I think completing the DS160 is part of that).

When it says ready you can send the DS160. Along with packet 3 for Montreal. If you are from somewhere else, I know after receiving the DS160, the consulate should also contact you.

Well looking at it there is a part about work/education/training. They only ask for the name of my school and address

Huhm weird that i have no field to fill out that education part. Whats wrong with my form
