Thanks! No idea how I could have missed this haha. Do you know if the validity of issued K1 is from the date of the medical or the interview? If its the former, I should probably wait :)

Hello everyone! Happy to announce that my fiancé's visa was approved this morning 😊 Went to the interview with him. There was a bit of a delay during his pre-screening because they could not find his case file. Turns out his case was sent electronically so all they had was an empty folder with a sticker (I am not sure what the numbers were (might be his case number/petition number etc) 😅 Anyway, after they found it, everything was smooth. 😊

So to all the others who got approved, say late April to early May, whose case is in Manila, Philippines, if they can't find your case file, tell them right away that it might have been sent electronically. Either they are not aware of the new system or they are still getting used to it. We got passed around from window to window just because they can't find his file. Got scared for a bit that they might not have received it (maybe the "ready" status was a glitch) or maybe they really lost it. 😅 So just let them know that it might be in a different container/box/shelf because it might have been sent electronically 😊

So glad to be finally done with the interview. Can't wait for the visa to come.

Sorry if my thoughts are all over the place.

Updating my timeline in a bit 😊

Congratulations! :) soon you guys will be together :) yii wasn't aware about their new system.

I have a question: my fiance and I got expedited and received an email from the NVC in the beginning of June saying how our case was expedited from the Consulate in Frankfurt and how they will get in touch with me. Nothing has happened so far, our case was created on May 17th according to the NVC case tracker, our NOA2 date is May 5th and I still havent received any mail from Frankfurt yet regarding packet 3. I called this past Monday and sent an email but they just said to wait. I have my medical scheduled for the 26th of June and would like to have my interview in the beginning of July and I already have all the needed documents and forms gathered so I am ready to go. Since I checked other timelines I couldnt help but wonder if there might be any reason why it is taking so long, especially since in the case tracker, my status is "ready". Any ideas why or what I can do now other than waiting - literally everything is appreciated! :D :)

When I go on my local embassy site there is no info on how to schedule the medical so I guess I have to wait for them to send me the packet :/

You can check which medical center approved by US Embassy in your country and contact them to set up appointment with them. You don't need packet 3 for that, everything you need is your case number, NOA2 letter or the Medical Center will let you know which documents you need to bring when you do the exam. Btw, Packet 3 can be find on US Embassy website and you can submit it before they send it to you as long as your Visa status say Ready.

Good luck

Well everyone here has become very quiet!

Just a head up, still no NVC number for me...Wednesday will mark the 6 weeks timeframe. I am looking forward to it and not at the same time. At that point they will finally do something, but I so wish I didn't have to go through those extra useless and abnormal steps..

I have officially given up all hope! Haha still waiting for NOA2! It must be our turn now?

Well, you are now past processing times according to USCIS, since they updated to 15th January this week. Sure there's something you can do like call them or make an online inquiry?

Good luck.
