Hi guys! Should we wait for NVC number before we can schedule for medical amd interview?

We are done filling the DS-160.

thanks

Yes you should wait. Because you need local embassy number to process any thing with your embassy. The physian use this number to communicate with the embassy. And only NVC can gives you this number

I cross my finger with you

I know it is moment of full stress

Just the I134.  The other one is for AOS

Thank you for your response

But the US Embassy asked it. This is what they asked:

  • All documents are required even if they were previously submitted to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or NVC with your petition.
  • For each document (with the exception of your passport and photograph), please present the original, one photocopy, and a certified translation for any document in languages other than English or French.

Passport:  A passport in good condition, valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry into the United States.
Photograph: One color photograph – 2 inches by 2 inches — for each applicant. The photo must have been taken within the past six months. Please see the photo requirements.
Shipping Envelope (if you currently reside in Portugal or the Azores): Applicants from Portugal or the Azores who are applying for an immediate relative or an employment-based visa, must provide a “Chronopost” envelope, 2 Kg format 25x36cm for Union Europeen international delivery.  Chronopost envelopes are only available from the French post office La Poste.  Visas are not available for pickup on the day of the interview.

Birth Certificate:  An original or certified copy for each applicant. The date, place of birth, and parent(s) name(s) must be shown on the birth certificate.  For those born in France, this means a “copie intégrale de l’acte de naissance.” Please see http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country.htmlfor birth certificates from other countries.  Note, the Family Book (Livret de Famille) does not satisfy this requirement. Some applicants with French Nationality may be requested to submit French birth certificates even if they were born outside of France.
Marriage Certificate:  Married applicants must submit an original marriage certificate (copie intégrale de l’acte de marriage in France) or a certified copy bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority.  Marriage records listed in Family Book (Livret de Famille) are not accepted. In some cases, the consular officer may request a marriage certificate issued within the last three months.

Divorce Decree:  Applicants and Petitioners who have been previously married must submit evidence of the termination of each previous marriage.  Evidence must be in the form of original or certified copy of the divorce decree obtained from the adjudicating authority, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp.  Original or certified copies of a death certificate or annulments are also acceptable if applicable.

Police Certificate:  A police certificate is required for each applicant aged 16 years and over, including France or Portugal and/or any country where an applicant has lived for more than twelve months after the age of 16.  Please see http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html for instructions on how to obtain police certificates for each country. All police certificates must cover the entire period of the applicant’s residence in that area.  Police certificates for the current country of residence must be less than one year old.
Court and Prison Records:  Applicants convicted of a crime must submit a certified copy of each court record and any prison record, regardless of the fact that he or she may have subsequently benefited from an amnesty, pardon or other act of clemency.  Court records should include complete information regarding the circumstance surrounding the crime for which the applicant was convicted, and the disposition of the case, including sentence or other penalty or fine imposed.
Military Records:  Persons who have served in the military forces of any country must provide an original copy of their military record.  If exempted from military service, the applicant should also provide an original copy of the exemption record.

Deportation Records:  Applicants previously deported or ordered removed from the United States must provide copies of their deportation hearing records and judgments.

Affidavit of Support or Employment LetterForm I-864, a contractual Affidavit of Support, must be submitted for most family-based immigrant visa applicants and employment-based applicants when a relative is the petitioner or has ownership interest in the petitioner’s business. The form must be submitted with the petitioner’s most recent tax return and any other financial documents.

Widows/Widowers of U.S. Citizens are required to present form I-864W.

Employment-based visa applicants must show a recent letter from their employer confirming that the job offer upon which their application is based is still available to them and confirming the essential elements of the job offer including pay rate and hours. Qualified nurses must also present their Visa Screen Certificate.

All other applicants, including K-1 (fiancé/e) applicants must show evidence that they are not likely to become a public charge while in the United States. Use of the form I-134 is an efficient way to provide this information to the Consular Officer.

Forms can be downloaded online at http://www.uscis.gov/forms.

Original Documents to Establish Relationship Between Petitioner and Beneficiary:  not applicable to employment-based visas).  This includes, but is not limited to plane tickets, photos and correspondence in the form of letters or emails.

Hey this is what i read from a forum

What is the difference between I-134 and I-864, Affidavit of Support?

As explained above, there are two types of Affidavit of Support: Form I-134 and I-864. As part of a Visa K1 application followed by the green card, both will be completed.

The I-134 is to be completed after your I-129 F, Petition for an Alien Fiance, has been approved. Normally, this should be stated in the letter received by your NVC (the US Embassy of Paris for the French). You will have to bring I-134 with you for your interview at the American Embassy. This document is a little less official than I-864 since the American citizen only commits himself to his / her fiancé and not to his wife / husband. It is more likely to be a simple verification of the financial means of the American sponsor and has no real legal value.

The I-864, on the other hand, is the real official contract, which engages the sponsor before the American law. It is to be completed after the wedding and to attach to the other documents that you will send to the USCIS to obtain your green card

Help to complete the Affidavit of Support I-134 (Visa K1).

Form I-134 can be downloaded directly from the USCIS website. Also do not forget to download, and read, the instructions that go with it. Many documents are to be attached with this form. So it may be wise to start collecting them as soon as you have received your NOA 2 and therefore your I-129F will be approved:

- Official letter from the American bank of the sponsor attesting the following: date of opening of the bank account, total amount deposited in the bank account for one year, total amount present on the bank account to date.
- Official letter from the sponsor's employer stating the company's address and telephone number, date of hire and nature of employment, salary and whether the job is temporary or permanent. If possible and if you wish, you can include the last two pay stubs and the last W-2.
- Depending on the personal situation of your sponsor, other documents may be required (if he owns a real estate or his own company for example ...). Read the instructions carefully.

Form I-134 is only two pages long and should be simple to complete once all the documents are retrieved. A small precision, however, in question 11: "I intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person (s) named in item 3. (If you check" Intend ", indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. Example, if you intend to furnish room and board, for a long time, and if it is a month, and for how long) Is a little strange as part of a K1 Visa, know that my husband and I had indicated:

N / A (K1 visa process for permanent residence).

I read about that. I'm sorry to hear about the delay. Keep eating healthy food and hope for the best!

I wouldn't be too concerned if I only have 1 or 2 scars, but I have around 10... I had a very rough time when my dad died. Sigh. I hope my honesty will be enough for them to clear me.

Good luck to us! By the way, when dis you go to medical and when is your psych eval?

@PR&PR, wow you have been waiting a long time! I hope you finally get your case number this Friday! And yeah, I hope we get ours, too. I am dying to find out what happens when the doctor sees all my scars. Lol

My fiancee is in a similar situation, except he has a burn and only one on his arm and it was last year before we both discovered the K1 process. We didn't yet meet each other then but have been together for almost a year, and as dumb as it sounds, none of us thought of this. It made him sad that we weren't able to be with eachother and none of us had any kind of funds for visiting right away. He ended up burning himself, and I discovered it. Shortly after that happened the stress of not knowing how we were going to make an international relationship work motivated the both of us and that's when we learned about the process and researched it a little bit. It changed his frame of mind and gave him and I both the ability to see ourselves together, but first we had to meet so we made it happen by saving up the money. We started the K1 this March. (Sorry guys, March filer creeping on you!) I'm not sure what will happen. It's the letter M on his arm. He's gonna be honest and tell them if they ask. Do they make everyone get psych evaluations, and would they give him one for one burn? It's not too dark but it's also not too light. You can notice it if you are checking his arm. I never thought about this until reading this forum and seen your post so now I am concerned myself.

Hello everyone,

Our case has currently been active now for roughly 140+ days. We filed our I-129f on January 19th, received NOA1 update on January 23rd, however we have not received any more updates since the NOA1. We are just wondering if there are any other January filers who are still currently waiting for a response on getting their NOA2? Also is there anything we can do whether it be calling or emailing to possibly hear something from the USCIS or get an update? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as waiting this long and still not getting an NOA2 is a pretty terrible feeling.

Thanks

My understanding is that we can do nothing until the date for k1 at the link below passes your NOA1 date, I think you have another 2 months until you can officially start questioning USCIS. The date is currently dec 15th, but you and I both need feb 15th. It takes about 1.5 months to increment by 1 month.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

You can also attempt to find out something by calling USCIS 1-800-375-5283 and asking to be transferred to Tier 2 because you are concerned that your mail has been lost.

You can also contact your congressman or senator and see if they can help.

If it helps, I have been waiting for 131 days and still no NOA2. Generally, people are approved in 98 days on average, but some of us take longer

You will have to wait until the date for K1 on the USCIS processing time passes your "case received date". Once that date passes if you haven't heard anything then you can contact USCIS and open a "case inquiry" yourself or you can contact your congressperson (I would recommend doing this instead of opening your own case inquiry) and they will open a "case inquiry" for you. The response to a case inquiry done by a congressperson is much faster than opening one yourself.

We are November 3rd filers, had an RFE and just received our NOA2 on June 5th (215 days after received date).
